So david, what does a minister of the word look like? Long hair, beard, tie dye shirt shorts and flips flops? Because you are saying that, show me where in the word that is correct?

Ahh...lol. It's a local slang term, don't be offended or confused by it and it was said tonge in cheek...sorry if I was short with you, I thought you were just being obtruse.:thumbsup

Clearly you are charismatic and I old time holiness, nothing will ever come of further conversation.

I'm Charismatic? :heeheehee

Interesting, could you explain to me how you came to that conclusion due to my not being able to understand your post?

A robe, leather circa 27 A.D. Middle Eastern sandals, long uncut beard, with cropped haircut, probably wearing a turban?

I never dress up for church. Most of the people in our county are poor. Very poor. The pastor does wear a suit on Sunday. I don't think anyone else wears one. Not even those who sit on the platform and sing.

I could dress like a Wall Street trader on Sunday. All it would accomplish would be to alienate myself from those I worship with.

Wearing a suit never caused me a problem relating to those I worship with.

Every Greek Orthodox, Coptic, Maronite priest, bishop, and patriarch have beards. I don't think the point is who in the recent past sported facial hair. But is there a precedence in the scripture, where ministry or saint should or should not have facial hair? It doesn't see to have been an issue with the early Pentecostal pioneers until later. Over the years I have heard a lot of different views why men should have beards, and why men shouldn't have beards.

Do you really mean to say this stuff?

Why do Ministers want to look like the world with their business suits?

Do Ministers want to look like the world with their black t-shirts?

Yeah, that's not true. Please quote where I allegedly said ministers should have long hair, beard, etc. Stop trying to avoid the issue.

The question was what do you base your beliefs on, if not the Bible? Where is the prohibition against facial hair in the Bible?

:LOL You can't answer the question so you make up something you claim I said, which wasn't true; and now you pull this quote from a completely different thread which has nothing to do with the topic at hand. It's because you're desperately trying to avoid having to answer the question.

Weak! And it's not just you. Most people like you are like this. Either they bring up every other question to avoid answering their own, or they just run off.
