Some women deadlift 500 lbs for reps, doesn't mean that is the norm for all women. Do you understand my point now?

Because I've never heard anyone say its a sin. Now they may say its rebellion because they have standards, that you know about and you want to do your own thing. Truthfully that has nothing to do with the beard but its about having unity, and the condition of the heart. Not just because the beard. If someone acts like that over facial hair they are going to give resistance and not line up in other areas that matter. The 2 keys to revival are unity and purity so unity is important.
Ok lets get this straight. You have NEVER HEARD one person say beards are a sin.

AND YET......

Pastors are allowed to MAKE IT A SIN, just because they want to?

So why is a discussion about beards about PURITY and unity?

If beards are not a sin they are saying one who has one IS NOT PURE?

They are not committing a sin but they are IMPURE?

Who said this?

Isaiah 50:6

I gave my back to the smiters and my cheeks to them that PLUCKED OFF THE HAIR.

Are you saying Jesus Christ was IMPURE?

That because he had a beard he would resist and not line up in other matters?

Would you bug someone who was under your ministry to grow a beard?

Wheres your memory Dom? I have answered this question 2-3 times on AFF. No to not have a beard is not a sin and I would not bug anyone to grow one who did not want to.

No just twisted this around and made it about the exact opposite of what I said it was. They never said it was a sin, so they can't be allowed to make it a sin. And the issue has nothing to do with purity, yet unity. If you want to do your own thing, you cant be unified that's just how it works.. If you were in the Army and the leading officer gave a call, you not doing it and just doing your own thing, would be un-unified and insubordination.

All this reminds me of a passage and it all boils down to this Mike Matthew 19:16-22 "And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? [17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is , God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. [18] He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, [19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [20] The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? [21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. [22] But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions."

He told this man to sell his possessions, why? Because he would allow them to come in between him and Jesus. If you are staying outside the church for facial hair, then your allowing that to be in between you and God.

Woah, woah... Mike is not outside of the church.

Anyway. I was taught that facial hair is a source of pride and pride is a sin therefore facial hair is a sin. When I realized how dumb that sounds I asked one of the assisting ministers why the church takes a stand against facial hair? Because I find no scriptural prohibition for it. He said that I have been around long enough, that I should known by now. We repeatedl that 3 more times. He didn’t have an answer is what it came down to.

Bro my Bible says "Not forsaking the ASSEMBLING of ourselves together, as the manner of some is." Lets now look at Ephesians 5:23 "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the CHURCH: and he is the saviour of the body." What does church mean? Ekklesia means "gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, AN ASSEMBLY." So if you are forsaking the assembling of yourself together,That makes you outside the church, I wasn't saying he wasn't saved. He's willingly staying outside because of facial hair though is all im saying. Jesus told this man to sell all, and follow Him. There's no scripture that said he had to do that either, but that's what was asked. So in the end it's all about truthfully what would you give up for Jesus? I would sell all, give up any person, and dress anyway to truly know Him better.

Will that act cause me to know Him better? Absolutely not, but I can guarantee this anything you do in faith unto God and not to man, God will bless it, and reveal Himself in a greater measure to you. You keep doing the same things, you will get what youve always got. For some that's good enough. But im desperate to know Him, and my desire is only for Him. The devil can't stop you from being saved, but you can choose for yourself not to be. "God will open doors no man can shut" true enough, but the revelation of that scripture is that you can close that door anytime you want to. In fact thats what the devil wants you to do, because he knows he's powerless..
