You've never answered why you think "being born of the water" is "baptism in Jesus name."

There are TWO BIRTHS being spoken of here. The "First Birth" ("... my mother's womb" - Nicodemus) and the "Second Birth" ("You must be born again..." - Jesus).

Jesus said that you have to be born twice. The "First Birth" and the "Second Birth."

You must be born "of the water" (The First Birth) and "The Spirit" (the Second Birth).

Just where is baptism mentioned at all in this context?

Brother, if I cannot say what I said in the opening post of this thread, then indeed, IT IS TIME FOR ME TO LEAVE and depart just as all the other conservative brethren have done!!!

And if you are NOT in agreement with the basic foundations of Apostolic Friends Forum, then brother, with all due respect, it would be time for you to leave the leadership!!

If I called you a "Phariseeical self righteous viper" I would be infracted, and rightfully so.

And, my beliefs are my personal beliefs, and I won't openly debate any positions on this forum that I do not agree with - and when and if it's ever time for me to leave this forum, it will be my decision, not yours.

Everyone is welcome to post on this forum as long as they keep it respectful and do not openly debate the tenets of the forum.

If my brother and sister Admins feel that I should leave my position, I would certainly respect that and comply, but my dear friend, you will not be the determining factor in that decision!

I'm sorry, but if a person calls themselves something, but doesn't hold true to any of the core values of the thing they're calling themselves, that's called "Pretending"! And use your forum search engine and find out how many times the term "Greasy Gracer" has been used here! Guess where I learned and first heard the term? Wanna guess? I FIRST HEARD OF IT ON APOSTOLIC FRIENDS FORUM!!! And now I'm in trouble because I used a term that was basically introduced here?

I think I hate the day I ever signed up for this place. Some of the old conservatives that used to be here warned me this would happen, and they were right.

All I did was recite the age-old values and core teachings of The United Pentecostal Church, the teachings that have been given for decades. And you shot me for it.

No wonder Epley and the others left. You all don't deserve them.

Ya know, when Epley threatened to leave, people came out of the wood work to beg and plead, Capt Kirk like ("We... need you! We... are stronger WITH you..... then without you!"). I don't think you will get that same reaction.

I'm appalled at your statement toward Michael Phelps. This forum is for all Apostolics...EVERY FLAVOR of Apostolic! Not just YOUR flavor!!!

We don't REQUIRE anyone to hold to the basic tenets of the Apostolic faith as outlined in our definition to be a member here. We have that there so other Apostolics will understand what kind of Apostolic is generally represented here! Michael Phelps was invited to be a part of this Admin Team because of his great character and wisdom in dealing with people. As well as the fact that we want a diverse team to keep a fair balance on this board.

We want a place where Conservative, Moderate, and Liberal feel welcome, not just YOU! It's not all about YOU! So please, do us all a favor and get over yourself already! :girlfriend

Neither you nor anyone else has EVER been able to demonstrate just how your beliefs could ever be called "age old." You haven't even been able to name a SINGLE person who preached YOUR message before 1937.

That's how NEW your doctrine is. That's how much of an innovation it is. People like you come on here spouting and boasting so much of themselves - and then when they get pressed for answers, they "just hate the day they ever signed up."
