Re: Shorts
I have only read the first post and a couple more in this thread but I wanted to let Unitedpraise know that the situation is clear. He is just rebellious. How dare him question "standards". It is his role to just shut up and follow them. To expect logic or a Biblical foundation for them is just a trick of the devil to cause confusion.

That tells me we have every Biblical right to examine what "these things" are. If examining means asking questions, I'm no stranger to doing that and won't be afraid to do it... |
Re: Shorts
I think its time you all ready Matthew 23. Jesus talks on this subject quite a bit.
Follow the law of Moses, and none else. That's what he taught. The Pharisees were making stricter and stricter laws of living, that one could not logically follow ever letter of it. However, the laws of Moses were easy. For example. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Simple. However, the Pharisees make some many rules and regulations on it that they even judged Christ's Disciples for picking corn as they traveled through a field. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean. |
