Think some spirits were communing?

From what I have been reading, here on the forum, Chris Reed was Oneness Pentecostal. What I do not understand is how someone with that background could wind up neck-deep in Charismaniaville? Paul Cain? Seriously? Rick Joyner? I mean he might as well be doing telethons with Benny Hinn and John Avanzini.

Paul Cain was a protege of William Braham and a mentor of Chris Reed.

Paul Cain and Rick Joyner were associated with the Kansas City Prophets who were influential in the development of the new Apostolic Reformation NAR.

From what I’ve seen over the years is that “some” people seek the platform. They like the applause. Not, that anyone gets a standing ovation from a Pentecostal congregation. But, there are those who view a pulpit as a place to gain notoriety. They get swept away by the lure of power, and then finances. They then find that the more things you preach against is how your congregation either grows, or slows. William Branham and his other cruzematic preachers found that using an ecclesiastical con game the best way to build a following. William Branham sadly was so influential he built a Pentecostal “cargo” cult around himself. Where even Oneness Pentecostals even started to see him as one of their group. Even though William Branham didn’t believe what they believed. He was a chameleon, a shapeshifter, a side show act, or ecclesiastical parlor tricks. When Branham died in a horrendous car accident, others stepped in to his spot light. Later we would get the Jimmy Swaggarts of the television evangelical explosion in America. They became famous, then in time their perversions rose to the surface. An English historian once said, "power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” No matter if it’s a Pentecostal preacher or a public school teacher. There are individuals who have zero self control and discipline. Add a stage and lectern where an audience is involved. Where large sums of money can be made for just a small amount of effort. You have a recipe for disaster. The Chris Reeds and Rick Joyners of the world don’t only destroy themselves, but annihilate the poor individuals who they hoodwink. In Chris’ video pleas he isn’t sorry. Anyone with any shred of God in them would hide their face from the public eye. Not Chris Reed. Or his old boss Rick Joyner. While Joyner is doing damage control to save face and his business. Chris is doing the same. Both men are concerned about their careers in ecclesiastical show business. They aren’t the first to swim in the cess pool of religious perversion. They sadly won’t be the last. People are pretty numb at this point. Jimmy Swaggart went after Ozzy Osborne back in the 80s. Sadly, Ozzy Osborne got the last laugh. That was in 1989? We are now in 2024. No standing behind a pulpit with a teary eyed apology from Chris Reed with the words “I sinned against you my Lord.” Nope, Chris believes he’s good. Why? Because the men he hung out with were serial perverts themselves.

Therefore young ministers who hunger for the platform instead of the prayer room. May find themselves on the same deadly path to destruction.

These young people bring up a valid point. In these situations, and other sensitive situations. It's the Elder Women who need to meet with the woman, or women. I don't believe in female leadership, women preachers, over adult males. Yet, the Bible does teach us that women deal with women. Titus 2:3-5, is very clear. A woman having a situation with her and a minister, doesn't need to be interrogated by a group of male ministers. The Elder Women, are best suited to be able to minister in some very delicate situations.

Why don’t you tell us how you really feel…..

On second thought maybe not.

Nothing wrong with what was said, on the contrary you're right.

I was just joking when I said that.
