I doubt the Alexandria church will be the first up on TV, you might want to look a little further to the west or up in Northeast.

Maybe they'll all be too wise to broadcast... maybe. :)

The resolution to block this was defeated.

OH! Sorry. I never knew that. Hmmm. Cool to me. :D

Isn't it funny, they passed the res. but know everyone is sitting back waiting on someone else to be first. I truley believe most only wanted to advertise.

Way too much hype was given to the whole ordeal IMO...

You might run into that on a "christian" station but I wouldn't think there would be much resistance on local channels unless the spots were already taken by other churches.

Our church broadcast goes into 140,000 homes via cable each week and the airwaves cover about a 70 mile radius. I pick up local stations from West Monroe, LA, Jackson, MS, and Little Rock, AR, so I was hoping to see what these churches would be doing. I would at least expect the West Monroe church to start broadcasting soon.

We were running commercials three years before the UPC allowed it with some success. The folks in our church never even realized there was a rule against advertising.

Many years ago I ran a christmas drama commercial not knowing it was sinful!!!! A man who hardly goes to church anywhere came to our drama and was mad that he saw the ad on HIS tv. I never did this again....yet:)

There isn't a Harvestime anymore. It is now Hope for Today. Been totally revamped and sounds nothing like the old HT. It is more like a radio Magazine type show now.

In your opinion, Mrs., what would be unwise about broadcasting on TV?

Maybe you've covered this on another thread, if so, please forgive my redundance.
