Where does it say they were mormons? They weren't mormons. They were not in a "gay neighborhood"...they were in a place they often go to pray and sing songs and pray for anyone that wants to...and they did pray for some. Peaceful? They were threatened with their very lives. That is not peaceful. The only thing that kept the rioting gays from physically harming them were the police....just incredible that you call that peaceful.

Well, they didn't have a city permit... shouldn't have been praying in the street.

Does it say that they did not have a permit? And is that supposed to justify what happened? This is insane guys...I am saddened by some of the "well they deserve what they got" but people saying they are christiams

HaHa. I didn't say that they deserved anything. What happened is really sad. It's only the beginning.

I was in the city a few weeks ago (SF) and was driving up market and mission. I just shook my head and thought " there is little hope for this place unless some kind of miracle happens.

I don't think anyone should even attempt to go to SF unless you are like the prophet Jeremiah and on an direct assignment from God.

Gosh, Prax, even if you didn't agree with what Sister Falla said, I'm a little surprised at the tone of your post to her. Are you having a bad day or just not thinking? :dogpat

We got a group of Christians being attacked and threatened for their lives, chased down the street and being essentially called evil....it's amazing and sad for me to see people post in that way.

This is not about individual christians being hypocrites. Do we get the implications of this or are we just going to implode on ourselves?

This reminds me of the "frog in the kettle" syndrome... I think by the time many Christians start to realize what's happening, the water will be already approaching the boiling point.

(But I do think you might have been a bit harsh toward Sis. Falla, though.)

This qualifies as mild persecution. I agree, you should expect to get burned. But the Christians did NOTHING wrong, (from what I could see), and there is nothing in the article that points to them being Mormon that I can see, not that it matters.

I'm surprised that you didn't defend them, since they obviously weren't Apostolic/UPCI Christians. :D

I think Sis. Falla was just posting her thoughts--not really addressing the video. But really, what can be done? Christians can't take action against such people, so how does the "frog in the kettle" syndrome even relate? We can't exactly jump out of this kettle, even if it does start heating up.
