I do believe that if conventional wisdom determines that CO2 is a pollutant, a carbon-based energy supply system is going to suffer unprecedented cost escalation that will have vast unintended consequences. Clean operations need economic vitality.

A "CO2 is bad" bumper-sticker science is inviting a "have you hugged your nuke" bumper sticker to replace it. With the half life of Plut 239 (breeder reactor stuff) being in excess of 100,000 years, I'll take my chances with warm winters.

I fully acknowledge that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. We can not burn billions of tons of fossil fuels and not have an emission issue. Scrubbers, gasification, slurries, and other viable fuel processing may hold great opportunities, but none of these are viable if you make CO2 the boogeyman.

It just feels like there is a nefarious agenda at work; making a naturally occuring, common gas, a pollutant. BUT I can not escape from the fact that the waste I produce does have an impact on the environment I depend on.

Please forgive me, I exhaled around 180 times while I posted this ---bad human---bad human---go to your room and feel shame.....:nah

I don't know if you use a DVD player but if you do this is one awesome DVD!

None of the views expressed in the poll are mine. You should have had a catagory for those who do not doubt that the earth is in a warming trend right now but that it is a part of the normal cycle of the earth.

Al Gore even admits that he makes wild conjectures and exaggerates things to make his point. I guess libs think that is ok if it is done educating the ignorant massess. The old "ends justifies the means" arguement.

I do think we should conserve fuel, seek more fuel efficient energy, etc, etc but I do not want to do so in the context of a panic over human beings causing global warming. I want to do it because it makes sense.

Wouldn't that be "whether it's true or not, we need to change our ways"?

Amen, and do it gradually in a cost effective manner.

Yes, we do.

In a lot of ways we have been poor stewards of what God has given us. Although radicals have hijacked the whole environmental discussion, I think it would be wise for people to honestly assess how we have neglected taking care of our planet.
