True. But I'd like to think he'll take the roasting from the Wright/Farahkan crowd over the alternative.

My point is that many of those who oppose him are just going to oppose him no matter what. I'm talking about the same group of people criticizing no matter which direction he would have gone with this. It's just the nature of the beast I guess.

Yup, nature of being President. Ask Bush. He got beat up on all sides. If he made a compromise on an energy bill with the dems, it was shoved in his face the next time around. If he compromised with the Dems for an Aids bill to Africa, costing more than we can afford, he got no appreciation except what entitlists give someone, a smirk. And his own party? LIBERAL SPENDER! haha!

This is just the beginning for Obama.

Stew, no one is attacking BHO for choosing RW. just wondering why when RW was not influencial in his life. Furthermore, RW is supposedly a conservative evangelical.

I think the attack of the poster was more on RW. But personally, I'd have accepted the invite and led the best invocation and prayer I could put together.

I'm not saying that he was being attacked, but if he had chosen a Farrakhan he would be questioned...then if he chooses a conservative evangelist, he will get questioned as to why he didn't choose a Farrakhan. Like I said I guess it's just the nature of the beast and something he'll have to live with.

Yea that is true - the attack was on RW but a lot of people are very touchy about anything that's said of OHB ( i wont mention any names)

I'm just making a general observation...not just based on this thread alone. I have been to busy to post a lot recently, but this is just my impression on a number of things that I have been reading. It's not anything new or unique to Obama of course...like I said I guess it's just the nature of the beast.

However, it is not questioning Rick to wonder why Obama didn't choose someone else.

Mark, I don't believe that I used the word "attack" in any of my posts...except to say specifically that I wasn't saying that anybody was attacking him. :)
