Are you a Pastor of Pastors? If what one teaches is not Biblical-leave. If you are holding beliefs contrary to the leader, you should leave if it bothers you. If you try to usurp his authority you are gonna get on God's bad side. Remember Uzza & the Ark? The priests were mishandling the ark and it stumbled? God smote Uzzah when he attempted to cross into territory that he wasn't supposed to. Better to have let God deal with the situation. |

Oh, about this pastor, he has every right to share what he believes about what folks eat, it should stop at that line. The scripture is clear that this is a personal decision, and that we should give thanks whether we eat or do not eat. |
Re: Will you give up red meat?
I would quit that pastor and join the WPF.
It's not rebellion if you go to a stricter church. It's integrity. And I don't see the WPF outlawing red meat any time soon. |
Re: Will you give up red meat?
I voted start looking for a new church...He would have no Bible right to make a law like that...he might tell the evils of red meat and suggest not eating it but to make it a law is not my type pastor....sorry...next thing he might serve might be Kool-Aid....

Furthermore, in this case, the reach for the rule of law would be against the people who have the "ark" living inside them. |
Re: Will you give up red meat?
Brings to mind Colossians 2
15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. 16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— 20 If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, 21 “Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!” 22 (which all refer to things destined to perish with use)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? 23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence. |

I would go a bit further and say the hearers have a responsibility and an obligation to limit there compliance, lest in their compliance they strengthen a false teaching. |
