Manifest Destiny was not a christian doctrine. it was a political doctrine akin to the Bush Doctrine of pre-emtive strike. (sp)

Let me help you w/ that ... it was pre-dominantly political however... many religious leaders ... supported and wrote articles using Christian ideals in support of Manifest destiny ...
