While we are waiting for the letter I am temporarily hijacking this thread - Keith, As you know I had narrowed my new camera purchase down to the Panasonic Lumix FZ8K and the Fuji Finepix S700 that you have. My decison was made for me when last night my wife told me to turn the TV to HSN that they had a nice camera as the "today's special". It turned out to be the brand new replacement for the S700, the S800. Pretty much the same except 8mp vs. 7 mp. and a couple of other minor features. They had it for $249, just $4.95 shipping, and HSN does not charge sales tax in TN. On top of that it was on 5 easy payments so they will only charge my VISA debit card fifty bucks a month each month for five months to pay for it!!! If you know anyone who needs a camera it is HSN's "today's special" through today I believe at this special price. I think it goes up to $299 after today. |

I just had someone send me the letter, the waiting is over, here you go Thad...
November 1, 1997 Greetings to my bretheren of like precious faith in the name of the Lord Jesus. Perilous times have come upon us and no less considering the day in which we live when we are looking forward to the glorious appearing of the day of Lord. I want to let you know that I stand on one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made, however it was not very difficult to make it, and I will tell you why. I was recently in a restaurant and there was a television playing in the lobby. The preacher friend I was with could not take his eyes off the Oscar Meyer commercial playing, he just couldn't believe they could make a car that looks like a hot dog! I was so repullsed that here this man just finished preaching the sermon of his life, and 124,097 people were in the altar just 20 minutes prior to us standing here! It magnified the grasp that television can have on people. Therefore this situation was the final straw that broke the camels back, I must leave the United Pentecostal Church. This does not mean I am leaving the fellowship. I will not, however, ever again have a man in my pulpit that has seen blind eyes opened, and deaf ears unstopped, who would be so simple minded that he could not believe that they can make a car that looks like an Oscar Meyer Weiner!!! Yours truly, VM |
Carp,
You are toooo creative! |
