One thing is certain, I may be many things and have been accused of many things, but I doubt I will ever be accused of being a Corinthian! :D

Pepper and Pepsi. The choice of a new generation....

What I would not give for a soda in a glass bottle.

SarahElizabeth 08-12-2007 04:29 PM

You can go to You Tube and view many old commercials. Some of them are hilarious.

When those commercials were on, I was not even in the church.

I do have a television, can't get channels though. Even if I wanted them, I would have to get cable or sattelite here. I am in no man's land...at least as far as technology is concerned. In our area, the only buildings that have a lot of gadgets are the churches! :D

I spend most of my time at the office anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Oh yeah. Ice cold glass bottle at that. Remember the coke machines that had the little door that opened and the drinks were lined vertically down the side? They were usually so cold they burned going down.

WOW, I did it.......This is one my OLDER brother used to sing to me about AJAX.

UH, OH, this says owner does not allow embedding. If you click on this twice, it works. Maybe this needs to be deleted. If so, do so, please.

The guitar player reminds me a guitar player at a church I used to attend....lol (Crackle)

Hey, now that I'll looked at this again.....That piano player looks a little familiar too, (Snap)

Can you imagine someone playing the bass like POP does? Now he gets excited..lol

I got to watch it. It gave me that message, but apparently I clicked at just the right spot because it brought the commercial up. It was hysterical. I do NOT remember that!!

You are too young for that one. ....I'm not sure that is the one I saw as a child, but I remember the song. lol

Heinz Pickles (Was this inspired by Teresa H-Kerry?)

[YT="Heinz Pickles - 1964 TV Commercial"]lxfKYEL3y58[/YT]

Anyone remember this one? LOL

Please, I hope no one feels badly at me for posting these. The 50s and early 60s were such an innocent time in America, especially compared to now. Admins, delete these three commericials, if they are not appropriate for this forum....I think of them as "history" rather than "tv"... Personally, I think the "Snap, Crackle, Pop - Rice Crispies song is particularly uplifting. :-)
