a self proclaimed moderate is always liberal...'
they only claim their moderation by comparisons with others more free thinking than themselves
If you think that you can call out libs and mods then you're also a little self righteous and will wind up as a week conservative in your dillusional no spin zone alla bill orielly

so what makes one a liberal, moderate, or conservative? If i don't wear shorts and my wife doesn't wear pants or cut her hair, BUT i wear short sleeves, have a tv(with satellite) & internet, and play organized sports - am i a liberal, moderate, or conservative?

I don't believe we are called to be extremists. We are called to be voices of moderation and balance in all things. One man's "conservative" is another man's "moderate". For example the Amish would think we were rather liberal. The free will baptist might think we are ultra-conservative. It's not wise to judge ourselves by ourselves. We should live a balanced life living moderately according to the principles taught in Scripture.

The Conservative Pharisees and the Liberal Sadducees couldn't stand Jesus...because he walked right down the middle calling them both on their inconsistencies. A moderate does the same thing. A moderate can call both the conservatives and the liberals to task for their inconsistencies.

this is a great post!

I am usually not a stickler with spelling, but you misspelled Allah. And what does he have to do with this conversation? Is he moderate? (TIC) :running:

I thought he was using "a la" as in french

prep.
In the style or manner of: a poem à la Ogden Nash.

[French, short for à la mode de, in the manner of.]

yes, hence my TIC notation. Perhaps I should put my sense a humor away for a while. :)
