What about the girl's soul?

What about the congregation?


What about the wife that worked so hard, side by side with her husband in this work of time and eternity?

What about his children?

A married 47 year man ... and minister of the Gospel is somehow on the same level as 16 year old receiving "counsel" during her parent's divorce from her pastor.
It should trouble you, it should trouble you to tears. It has me on many nights. To hear a 16 yr old girl make the statement, "I would have had sex with him if I thought thats what it would take to keep him". To find a 13yr old talking about "making love" to her 13yr old boyfriend. Im glad this troubles you, those of us who have been troubled by it for some time now need more like you who don't have a clue whats going on to wake up to it and help us pray.

It troubles you because you have no experience in this area. But we could reserve that question for you to answer, why exactly does it trouble you DA ? This is life as a father of daughters. I am very proud of my girls and love them dearly, but that does not blind me to the reality we live in. I have learned that the hard way. Maybe you will too one day.

I knew about sex in elementary school.

I knew that I shouldn't do it then unless I was married then too.


At 16, she knew that she was having sex with a grown man, a married man, her Pastor at that.


satan will probably have a field day with her conscience for years over this-- only because she knew that this was the wrong thing to do.

What I see often is young ladies (teenagers) without fathers in their lives and they are looking to be loved and accepted. You are perfectly correct about many young ladies looking for 'love' in all the wrong places, but I do agree with Dan on this one...

This case is why Liberals are fighting to lower the age of consent.
Erm, I know of no liberal that is fighting to lower the age of consent.

I do know of a lot of people (not going to say of whatever political persuasion) who see underage teens as temptresses and are quite willing to blame the adults' problems in engaging in inappropriate and illegal activity on the teens.

For example, a story I read earlier in the week in one of the Utah papers:
