The problem in Corinth was that women were wearing their hair up and their heads were thus uncovered. This is what Paul was saying to be ashamed. Jewish women wore their hair down naturally, and it is the grory of the women, because her long hair covers her.

Once again you equivocate veil and covering without evidence. Please prove the hair is a veil.

Putting hair up is not broidered.

Broidered is an old King James word meaning braided.

No where does it say the Corinthian women wore their hair up.

Where does Paul say to be like Jewish women?

In Greek to Broider is plegma:

AV — broidered hair 1 Thayer's Lexicon (Help)

WHAT IS WOVEN, PLAITED, OR TWISTED TOGEATHER

When you have an UpDo, your hair would be twisted togeather (Broidered).

Not necessarily. This is actually talking about elaborate braiding Greek women did with precious gems and items in it, not putting it on top of the head

NOTHING in 1Cor. 11 implies a woman has to wear her hair down. Her head is to be covered not her neck and shoulders. Just saying.

Then what is the purpose of having long hair if it is to be piled on top of her head? Short hair covers the head too.

Cut hair is the opposite of being covered and it has nothing to do with length or style. Komoa means 'let her hair grow NOT let her hair hang down."

Yes, isn't it?

That would be like walking with a loud noisy chainsaw
in protected rain forest.

So what it boils down to for some people on this forum:

Cut hair: you go to hell.
No tithes paid: you go to hell.

Apparently what Jesus did on the cross
means nothing to these people.

I talked to a fellow once who drove 150 miles to church and back on sunday.
He said: "I have to do this, otherwise my family will loose salvation"

His pastor told him. (UPCI)

Good grief!

Of course it would do no good because he was unemployed and had no money left for tithes after filling up his truck with all that gas every sunday.
