I spoke with Falla39 today and they were still in need of prayer. I was given the impression as the funeral approaches that this lose of their loved one was beginning to set in.
I've never met BigLarry or Crakjak, but if they were anything like their older sister, I sure would love the opportunity. I am still praying for your family. |

Please Pray for Big-Larry, Falla39 and Crakjak
We want to thank each and every one of you who have prayed and held
our family up in prayer during this difficult time. We have felt the peace that passeth all understanding for certain. Today, Thursday was the funeral for our beloved brother, John S. Blakey, He has been a part of our lives for 55 yrs. He worked as a prison guard in a Texas Maximum Security Unit for the past two years. Today the state warden and a whole pew of fellow prison guards were there to express their respect for John. Bro. Ron Liles of Ft. Worth, message was "There Was A Man Sent From God Whose Name Was John". He told what John's first name meant and also what his middle name, Stephen, meant also. It was beautiful. Maybe Big-Larry or Crakjak can remember a bit more in detail as I can't remember just now. Tired mind tonight! lol, The Lord God comforted our hearts so beautifully. Big-Larry sang as only he can ""Welcome Home, My Son". John's pastor brother, David, from Canton, spoke, giving some sweet personal thoughts concerning our brother and how he and John became even closer then brothers as he became "Pastor Dave" the last two years. Just a few days before John's death, he had written his "Pastor" and thanked him for the things he did that no one else sees! David took the note out of his pocket and read it with the date, Aug. 31. He died Sept. 9th. Again, thank you all for your prayers and support during this difficult time in our lives. I may not be on the forum for a few more days as just tonight we learned that a dear family friend from Hot Springs, Ark. passed away earlier today. We plan to attend his services over the weekend. God bless everyone of you, in Jesus Name! Falla39 |
