Never dreamed the day would come when Apostolic Pentecostals would be arguing
about whether they could wear shorts or not. A few years ago, the question was
whether you could wear Skorts or not. Will the day come when the question will be
"Can we go naked"! Adam and Eve were naked in the beginning. Why can't we go
naked. We are born naked. Where will it stop!

I know people right now that God is showing the truth to, and they are SO thankful.
Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

You still haven't given an explanation as to why not. I don't think anybody has ever been able to justify it...EVER! It always just ends up being, it's immodest. How are shorts any more immodest than a women s skirt at the knees.

....and the reason why you are seeing it argued, is because you have a generation coming up that is tired of rules without just justification. Shorts isn't the only issue....there are many others...

Are you saying you have been a proud member of the UPCI for 22 yrs, OR are you saying you are 22 yrs old. It looks like you are saying you have been a proud member of the UPCI all of your 22 yrs old. Right!

I wear shorts. I go to a UPC. I don't wear shorts to a church meeting though. Nobody bothers me about them unless they go to a non UPC Oneness church across town :thumbsup

I UPC.... Don't really wear um much but if they are the longer type I don't mind people wearing them. As much as the wearing of shorts would be hard for me to adapt to, so is the idea of dressing down for everyday clothes. I never did the beach bum thing much - but that's just what I got used to.

I wear long shorts out in public - very modest ones. I have some shorter ones that I wear around the house in the summer, or inside our fenced in yard.
Good grief - the whole thing comes down to modesty. If you want to be immodest and draw attention to your body, you can do it in a long skirt and long sleeves. I've seen it done many times. The Bible doesn't teach skirt (or shorts) length - you just have to use Godly wisdom and strive to be holy.
