That sounds correct. I know some states had their own youth conferences, but the national one came later.

Okay this is off topic, but who can go to General Conference? Is it only for ministers, like BOTT?

No, General Conference is for everyone.

It can be pricey to go, since it's for several days. Typically the church or district will pay the expenses for a Pastor or district official to go. My parents were both a Pastor and district officials, so I was lucky enough to go to every one up until I moved away when I was 18.

It's sad to see how small it's become. I remember having Conference in the Superdome in New Orleans, LA. There used to be about 15,000+ attending GC's; I believe last year's attendance was well under 5,000.

The only reason I plan on going is because it's gonna be about 10 mins away from were I live... otherwise I could in no way afford to go.

My church is taking a group to NAYC for better cost effectiveness and I'm still not 100% sure I can afford to go to that.

According to website general conference 2015 is in Nashville.
