Re: Cain's Wife (Genesis 4)
OK, Josephus describes it like if the description in Chapter 2 is the details of what happened on Chapter 1 on the sixth day.
Josephus The Essential Writings. Translated by Paul L Maier. Jewish Antiquites / Beginnings. Quote:

The differences in Genesis 1 and 2 are not negating the fact that they're the one and same event on the Sixth day. Chapter 2 did not say animals were created from the ground before Eve and after Adam, but that the animals he named were from the ground. Purpose, not chronology. This is because the contrasts from the animals and Eve are vital to focus on the origin, seeing as Adam's help would be from himself, not the ground. This is to foreshadow the gospel with Christ getting his bride from his body on the cross, while the rest of humanity are like the animals by comparison, no help to him.

Re: Cain's Wife (Genesis 4)
I've heard it thrown out that the rest of the Bible from Gen 2:4 thru Rev 20:10 are the details of the sixth day, and that we're still in it. Not sure about that, but it is an interesting idea.
