Do see the effect that Steve Epley's labeling and name calling has on discussion? All he did was call Fudge an "Anglican" and suddenly Fudge is "degrading biblical experiences" in the minds of some.
Why did you stop calling Fudge an "Anglican priest," Steve? |

Again, if you spoke to him on the phone and came away from that conversation calling him an "Anglican priest," why have you dropped the "priest" from your labeling? |

I was just responding to your original post above... |
Fudge's "bias" and his "criticisms" and even the title of the book and the Photoshop work done to the painting on the cover were all criticisms coming from within the Pentecostal community.
Though Fudge himself has "moved on" he was raised in the OP movement and has family that are still within the movement. In his book he was often an amanuensis for C.H. Yadon and others who are still solidly (or in the case of Yadon, passed away) within the OP movement. He never disparaged the Pentecostal experience. Throwing labels around like "Anglican," and in another thread "Bapticostal" is a ploy to hide the truth about someone's rhetorical opponents. We shouldn't fall for such obsfucation; but rather, we should seek to shine even more light upon our subject. |
