Ron, I can't believe you folks had Felicity right AT an old fashioned Pentecostal altar (in her own church no less) and you guys didn't lay hands on her and pray that bobbed hair / makeup demon out of her!!!!!!

Talk about wasted opportunty. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Perhaps better to wait until the last night though eh? (the "eh" is for you Canadians).

Actually I saw one of the ministers did lay hands on her-as they did just about everyone in the Building.

The preaching was about releasing everyone into ministry (not 5 fold) but ministry nonetheless.

We need to take it to the streets!:preach

Ha! The truth is .... I did have hands laid on me last night .... TWICE in fact!

We sat in the front because I promised a UPC girl who worked at Blessings with me I'd sit with her and she likes to sit at the front but then so do I for that matter.

After Bro. Dillon finished preached he asked for folks to go to the front to pray, but since I was already there I just stayed where I was. Was standing there just quietly praying when all of a sudden hands were laid on me. It was Bro. Dillon! He prayed with TB and I.

Then he moved to me and started praying with me - laid hands on my head - did a little prophesying - just for me. Bro. Dillon doesn't know me really at all so it was pretty amazing how he zeroed in and ministered the way he did to me. He stopped and spoke with me for a few minutes again in the foyer on his way out.

Another guy (preacher I think) also came and prayed with me a few minutes after Bro. Dillon and spoke to me for a bit as well. Never saw him before in my life. I'm not sure who he was. Gonna try and find out tonight.

So there ya go CC. Hope you feel better now. ;) :D

Felicty,

Thank heavens! I was beginning to think old time Pentecost had gone soft. A bobbed haired woman in the house and no hands layed on her? That meeting could not have been called a success had they not come through there at the end.

One of the things I really appreciated about both messages last evening is that they didn't harp on "truth" and standards or holiness wasn't mentioned at all.

It was good stuff that we were hearing.

It was a pretty lively crowd though. My goodness, some of those women behind and around me made a lot of racket. And the preachers sitting at the front on the other side across from where I was sitting - some of them were part of the Foster/Dillon team never hardly quit shouting and were on their feet most of the service just about.

A little noisier than what I'm used to. :D

Sounds like they would have fit right in at Christ Church!!!

Were any of you and TB's church folks at this meeting? If so what did they think?

Which Dillon is it?

There were a few from our church there. TB announced the meetings on Sunday. The ones who were there were exUPCers or have a connection with UPC through family.

I know I've been talking a lot about "me" in these posts but honestly I'm just so excited about getting to hear some awesome preaching and real passion like what comes with UPC preaching and worship and I really was ministered to in more than one way last night.

The worship didn't last near long enough though - I suppose because they had double hitting preaching :) so they were trying to save time but I would have loved more singing and worship. Maybe tonight! :)

It was just so great being in that kind of service and seeing these people and all. Just very excited about it!

Will these messages be posted on PC's media thread?

Sis. Felicity and TB, I think it's great that in spite of your differences with UPC and the water under the bridge, you allowed the church facillities to be used for the conference and even attend the services.

Kudos!
