Hmm..rather if the power of God was in the people who then go out and witness and invite people to church...

But Christians have been using gimmicks or HOOKS for centuries. Blame Paul, he started it by using a hook of the unknown god to get everyones attention and preach Christ

Then whoever invented those tracts continued the trend of using gimmicks

Aren't we suppose to avoid all appearance of evil?
Ah well, I know there is a church like that in Surrey BC Canada.

http://www.relatechurch.ca/

It's packed every friday night I think with young people.
Better have them in there than walking the streets.
Do people get saved? I don't know.
But God can save a person ANYWHERE!

And what else are in night clubs? Music? get rid of that!

Lights? Get rid of the lights!

Sound Systems? Get rid of that!

Dancing? No more dancing in churches, that's imitating the world because the world dances

So you believe the Worship Service where the body of Christ gathers together on a weekly basis is supposed to be geared for the lost? I just don't see how that fits the NT model.

It was very common for church services in the bible days to have unsaved visitors...what do you think the church did about them?

Big difference.

Wasn 't the day of Pentecost a gathering of saints? Then sinners came in their midst and Peter preached to them.

The service should be for both the lost and the saved. In fact perhaps one reason for gathering together is for the saints to minister TO the lost with prayers and extending loving greeting

Whatever happened to "at all costs"?

These people believe they got something that is attracting people, especially young people, why criticize them?
