Extrabiblical TEACHING. It is referred to, but not taught in the Law. The bible also mentions cahriots but there is not teaching about them and how to build them under Law. Just because something is referred to in the bible does not mean it is taught by God in Law.

Interesting that when Paul introduced the idea of long hair into the discussion, he said it was something taught by 'nature'. He didn't just quote scripture or refer to scripture in this particular case, which I think he would have had it been an Old Testament doctrine concerning women's hair.

Right. He used nature and not Law. But nature was a support that they were unaware of. So the question is where did they learn of it?

Let me see if I understand this: does "extra biblical" mean outside of
scripture, or (to you) outside the Law?
