To answer your question... No, I have never thought or taught that all Non-Oneness Pentecostal Christians are Hellbound. It is not my position nor has this been the position of the leaders and adherents of the Oneness Pentecostal movement in the past century.

I don't know if I believ that????

As for tongues....Although I have had that wonderful experience it does sem that Peter and Paul were teaching to different things.

That's why Acts 2:38 believers are supposed to have a BURDEN for the lost. The 'lost' includes the wild heathen and those who have begun a sincere search for truth but have been turned astray by false doctrine.

Of course, people who have been told/convinced that they are saved contradictory to Acts 2:38 are harder to reach. Nobody likes to be shown they've been sold a bill of goods.

I've heard teaching that addressed some of the 'what ifs' that people have that is pertinent. The unreached indigenous peoples of Papua New Guinea were not even known to exist until this century. How could a merciful God judge them, and other heathen tribes like them, who never even had a chance to hear the gospel? The answer is that all men have God's word written in their hearts. We call it a conscience. Such peoples will be judged according to how they responded to their conscience.

Almost!! So the pygmies get a break but Jimmie Joe that happened inot a Methodist church doesn't?

Good job on the going to hell comment although you saved yourself by inserting "Probably"

OP_Carl 06-19-2007 11:41 AM

Okay, they're going to hell.

The "probably" is for the situations like where they repent, receive the Holy Ghost, and then slip on the baptismal steps, hit their head, and die before they are baptized. I believe they are saved, based on the principle of the direction that they are heading when they are accosted. (reference OT cities of refuge)

Jimmie Joe the Methodist convert is complacent and Laodicean if he doesn't discern doctrinal inconsistencies with the Word, and hunger for and seek out deeper truth. He will go to hell, along with the Methodists surrounding him telling him he's saved. People who have bibles are responsible for searching them.

When you think about it in those terms, it's pretty serious business, eh?

I simply do not agree that to be Oneness Pentecostal means one should believe all others are hellbound. How rediculous is that??

Do you really think the 23 million plus, documented by Talmage French are of this stripe?

You think this takes no backbone to say what I am saying?? Phooey.

Could you explain more in depth what Bro French stated.

If you are not Oneness then what are you?

Very simply Bro French documented the existence of 23,000,000 Oneness Pentecostals in the world today.

Me? Yes I am Oneness. What made you think otherwise, my refusal to condemn other Christians?

On the first point.....very interesting. Would have access to that documentation?

Secondly, poor writing on my part. If the oneness doctrine is not the only avenue to heaven what would be another way?
