What is being called the "Light Doctrine" has some very firm roots in Scripture. If we are "Kings and Priests" in the Kingdom of God, then over whom do we rule(King), or for whom do we make intercession to God(Priest)?

Are those who live their entire lives and die without ever hearing the Acts 2:38 message just destined for damnation? Isn't this Calvinism, Apostolic style? Just askin'.

Here is what he says on p. 110:
"When I was in Sunderland in 1907, I knelt before God and had an Acts 2:4 experience: I received the Holy Spirit and spoke with new tongues as did that company on the day of Pentecost. That put my experience outside the range of argument, but inside the record of God's Word. God gave me the Holy Spirit as He did to them at the beginning. I want harmony, unity, and oneness, but I want them God's way. In the Acts of the Apostles, speaking with new tongues was the sign of the infilling and outflowing of the Holy Spirit. I do not believe that God has changed His methods."

This seems pretty clear to me where he stood, at least on the Holy Ghost.

Where does the bible give a get out of jail free card to "Ministers". My bible says we are all a kingdom of priests...if that is the case then we are all Ministers not just the man that stands behind the pulpit.

And you think if Paul were here and he heard someone preaching false doctrine he would not call them on it?

It's important to have the right attitude here, not attacking someone for the sake of attacking someone but focus on their message and what's wrong or right with it

It's also important for the messenger to be humble and listen

Huh?

Yeah, certain preachers in Stockton definitely believe in a "two church theology." They don't see the Bible as a single story, culminating in Christ and the Church. Instead, their dispensationalist errors see separate covenants and stories.

From what I remember of my one year at ABI hearing Bro. Norris, LS didn't get that (John raptured and becoming one of the two witnesses) from Bro. Norris.

Sent a request to UPCI HQ asking for the UPCI position on the Light Doctrine.

Here is the response:

"""The UPCI has not taken an official position on that doctrine, but our manual does state that "the basic and fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance." Generally speaking, the large majority of UPCI ministers would not believe and teach the "light doctrine."

The UPCI certainly believes that all Christians should follow the pattern of the New Testament church and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues. However, God is the ultimate judge who will determine matters of eternal destiny.
