Before I leave my shift, I say a 'goodbye' to my patients. Both of mine are going home tomorrow, so I wished them well and thanked them for allowing me to care for them. I do this with all patients. To my heart patient, after I was done with preliminaries, I told him that I noticed something else. To my surprise, there were tears in my eyes as I told him that when I entered his room yesterday before his family got there, I could feel his Jesus and knew he was not only Christian, but Pentecostal. His wife, who was laying down in his bed (he was in his chair), sat right up and said, 'People tell him that all the time!!' I didn't tell him, but I plan on visiting his church in a month or two. I got to see his heart, but he sure touched mine. |
Re: No More Walls blog show seeks Apostolic Unity
i wanted to write and defend Reverend J.t.wheeler and his so called association with Bill Price.I know brother Wheeler and he is in no way has any association with Price.through the years there has been a click of us who have posted on forums on the internet.Price has been in out of these forums where we post.He usually will show up after he has repented from one of his doctrinal shifts, and wants to fellowship on the forum again. We treat him as if any other brother in the forum. But most of us know, when he is back..price will flip flop and move on to some other theology for a spell.and come back.(history has proven this)i guess i can sum it up like this.Price is tolerated and loved by the bretheren. But that does not mean me nor Wheeler or others of us who know each other on these forums endorse Bill Price or his actions or his doctrine.
i hope this can some how set the record straight.peace be unto all.thanks.Bro.Sparks |

Second, I want to congratulate you Brother Sparks and Brother Wheeler on the JA interview ... it was well produced and interesting. Third, will No More Walls interview any Apostolic women ... namely women who don't adhere to traditional/conservative standards? ... maybe someone from the PAW? On that vein, will African-American and other minority groups (Asamblea Apostolica) be represented in this "inclusive" effort seeking to unify the Body of Christ? Will Apostolics who teach one step doctrine have a seat at the table? Thank you, in anticipation, for your response. Also, if you guys interview Lee Stoneking give us a heads up ... I'd love to call in. |
Re: No More Walls blog show seeks Apostolic Unity
Dear Bro. Alicea,
Peace to you and grace be multiplied to you in the Name of Jesus Christ. We do thank you for your kind comments and all of the comments concerning what we are doing at no more walls. J.T and my self are very excited about the many leaders and ministers among many various Apostolic Organizations and Independents who is seeking unity of the faith. To answer your question about interviewing African Americans and other minority groups. My answer is a big YES,YES,YES. We also desire to tear down any racism still alive in the church as well. We have if you go to our website www.nomorewallsonline.com you will see our show listings. In a few weeks we have a prominent African American Elder Charles Ford Walker coming on our program. And yes we do wish to speak with folks no matter age, race, or gender to discuss tearing down walls of division and bringing us closer together as Apostolics. As far as a one stepper being Apostolic I thoroughly disagree with what they teach because the one step salvation doctrine is not biblical nor was it ever taught by the Apostles in the New Testament. We preach the Gospel of Jesus the death, burial, resurrection, ascension and secong coming and the response to the Gospel is repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and the baptism of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other tongues. While we are promoting unity among Apostolic believers, we do also intend to define what being Apostolic is. It means we follow the teachings of the Apostles who were walking and preaching by the direction of the Holy Ghost the Spirit of Truth. So to answer your question we will not be interviewing one steppers nor will we be hosting trinitarians to debate with them. Our purpose is to bring unity among those who believe the truth and to convince those who dont that Jesus wants them to know the truth and that he wants them to experience him. Let me be quiet clear that experiencing Jesus doesnt means one has to find him in any man made organization though organizations is a good tool, the Apostolic experience doesnt belong to the UPC, or ALJC, etc but is promised to all who will come to Jesus. Again thank you for your comments. And Brother I would love to have Lee Stoneking on as well. There are many questions I want to ask him. God Bless, Bro. Josh Sparks. |
Re: No More Walls blog show seeks Apostolic Unity
Bro. Sparks -
I had a chance to listen to the interview with Bro. Jeff Arnold - absoutely loved it! I pray that the Lord continues to use you and all those involved in the ministry of recconciliation. Thank you for all your work, and above all, thank Jesus! I was looking at your response to Bro. Alicea, and saw a part left out. I'm sure not on purpose - but what about those in the PAW, and those who may not be on the same page with some of the Holiness Standards that permeate the UPCI and the ALJC etc.? I understand the importance of true Apostolic teaching and unity, still, I realize there have been many divisions and splits due to things like the Affirmation Statement in the UPC, as well as many other teachings that seem to be additional doctrines apart from Biblical principle. Just to be clear, I believe in Holiness, and what it encompasses. Separation from worldliness is important to the child of God. That being said, many have either been misinformed, bitter, and or hurt by some of the way Holiness is taught or not taught. I too, like Daniel, am wondering if there will be a chance for dialog with those who have left, are independant, etc. because of some of this teaching or lack thereof? Praying for you in this endeavor, The Lemon |

And if they are part of the body of Christ in that they have been baptized into Christ and made to drink of His Spirit, don't you think eliminating their thoughts from discussion causes disunity within the body? Aren't you pushing a portion of the body to the side? |
Re: No More Walls blog show seeks Apostolic Unity
Peace be to you in Jesus Name,
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes we will try to have representatives from the PAW on the show. Also we will be having Independent APostolic on as well. In April we will feature a wonderful Independent Apostolic Pastor, Pastor Jason West son of the late Evangelist R.A West. So our shows will sponsor Apostolic faith and we will reach across organizational and independent lines to nring unity to the faith. In Jesus Name, Bro. Josh Sparks |
Re: No More Walls blog show seeks Apostolic Unity
Dear Mizpeh,
I appreciate your comments and concerns. I will answer your question in very few words. I am in no way trying to push aside part of the body but when a person openly denies the new birth experience as taught by Jesus in John 3:5 that oen must be born of water (baptism in Jesus name) and Spirit(Holy Ghost Baptism) that he/she cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. The word of God is plain and we cannot change that nor will we fellowship with those who seek to tear down the doctrine of Jesus Christ. With this being said we will no apologize for not compromising the plan of Salvation. In Jesus Name, Bro. Josh Sparks. |

Thank you for your prompt and honest response. I am rejoicing to know that African-Americans and other Apostolic minority groups have a place on your program. However, you did not answer whether or not women who believe the Apostolic message as you do but do not practice holiness standards as found in the UPCI or ALJC. Shall we assume they will not be considered as part of the Body or defined as Apostolic by your program? For example, a "painted" "bobbed" PAW sister in Christ? Also, the decision to exclude one-steppers from the "inclusive" dialogue your program seeks to promote is indicative that this program may not be seeking to unite an Apostolic heritage that includes a one-step history that is part of the modern Apostolic Oneness movement especially since the time of the New Issue. Apparently, brother Wheeler, the "Atomic Preacher", would not interview Apostolic pioneers like Howard Goss (1st UPCI Supt.), AD Gurley, CH Yadon, Frank Smalls, Wynn Stairs and others who believed in one-step salvation if they were alive today. I also, wonder if AD Urshan, GT Haywood, Clyde Haney, and even Frank Ewart would be potential interviewees on this modern 21st century program as they believed in light doctrine ... 3 steppers that believed Trinitarians were saved. Although, they believed the "truth" as you and brother Wheeler preach they fellowshipped with them and considered them as part of the Body of Christ. I have to believe that this program, hence, is BUILDING WALLS that did not exist 80, 70, 50 years ago. Goss, Haywood, AD Urshan need not apply? The definition of Apostolic you and brother Wheeler seem to possess is inaccurate and revisionist historically. There are great Apostolics alive today who believed the Acts 2:38 message and the Oneness of God who will not have a place at the blog's table because of an exclusionary, divisive paradigm. |
