Well I have not been back there since the night I found it and started this thread so I guess soon I should get back over there and enjoy it now and then.

I do like classic Christian rock but since I discovered Misty Edwards and IHOP music I have hardly listened to anything else.

Well played, sir. There is some good stuff, but it was never very mainstream.

So, if you are going to make the same statement about Christian Rock, then go ahead and say the same for Southern/Country gospel... "Further, they look, act, and talk like the world. If they look, sound, act, and sing like the world, then they are of the world and they are not a Christian, and I do not care what label they choose to wear."

There is no difference. You're only picking apart that which you listen to least.

But, there is one burning question: have you ever talked to a Christian Rock artist/musician? If so, was their "talk" the same as a mainstream rock artist, in that maybe foul language or anti-Christian dialogue came from their mouth?

Until one actually mingles with someone who lives, speaks, and sings about their faith and love for God, one cannot definitely say what that person is or isn't based on their own definition of "living for God" or "living in Truth."

You will find that I am just as tough in my Southern/Country Gospel as I am with these others. I have said that I will not listen to some groups because of their appearance and/or sound. I have been disappointed in some of the groups as they changed over the course of time. Some I might trust a little bit, but a few have started crossing into places that I will not go. I will not name them here on the forum, but if you wish, I can PM them.

If a group loses my trust, I am very reluctant to move on with them. I hope that some of them I can again trust eventually, but it is not looking like it.

Admit it. You have your super secret folder on your C: drive where you are hiding your collection of Big & Rich and Toby Keith MP3's.

Actually we have a Toby Keith's restaurant just a few miles from our house.
