Are the churches who teach this taking scripture to extreme and out of context?

What say ye?

My head covering is getting on my nerves today...It is so long and thick that I am sweating:):thumbsup

young people make decisions for themselves and after they have seen the responsibility
that comes with it, they decide they would not have made that choice if they could do
it over.
Young Palin has recently said if she could do it over, she would have waited to have
pre-martial sex.

I looked at the lives of my elders and then at those who had made different choices
regarding a lot of things during my lifetime. Mostly likely, as a young person, I would have
made different choices but I highly respected and honored my elders and mentors. There
is NO DOUBT my life has been blessed by being encouraged to follow those who were up
ahead of me, on the path. They could pass on back to me the dangers and the pitfalls
to look out for.

There are Leaders (should be our parents, etc). and then there are those that should be
FOLLOWING. The followers sometime want to reverse and be the leaders when they are
not mature enough to do so. Biblically the LEADERS SHOULD be following CHRIST or
following someone who is.

Over ten years ago, an elderly saint gave a message and it was interpereted! The message
was, "Stay on the Path! There may be detours! Do not take them! Stay on the Path! I never
forgot that message. After that message I went through a tremendeous trial. It tried my faith
seeminly to the very limits but I would get another grip on the situation and God would give
me scriptures from His Word to sustain me. Thank God for the victory that overcomes the
world, even our faith.

"But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the
perfect day. Prov. 4:18 KJV

There is safety in traveling down a road that someone else has paved out. Especially if
that was someone who was just and right. (living right.) It is not the broadway, but the
road less traveled. It will make all the difference! Thank you, Lord God, for wisdom to
know the difference.

Many times what the grandmother chooses, so does the mother and those following her!!
We have five generations following my late grandmothew Lizzie. Thank you, Grandma, for
the decisions you made without having a female mentor to follow. You chose to follow the
leading of the Holy Ghost of which you were the first to receive. Best choice!

this argument is so old and I know what the Bible says, I also know what I got out of it and prayer. I do not need anyone to tell me what it means. If you get a different idea from it, more power to ya. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. I went seeking out my own salvation and FOUND IT.

Apples and oranges. The bible is clear on the pre-marital sex issue.

Actually, I was trying to make a point that if young people would listen
to their elders, those who are further down the road, they wouldn't have
to learn some things the hard way. They could save themselves some
grief. It doesn't have to be pre-martial sex. Sin is sin. The soul that
sinneth, it shall die! There are principals that can be lived by that could
save generations grief. But you can't tell most that!:heart
