Very good, Brother Epley. He had a responsibility. I have never heard anyone preach that Paul nor Peter had more power as Daniel seems to be implying is being taught.

so does one enter the Kingdom of God/Heaven in the present or is in the future ....???

One enters the kingdom of God in Regeneration. One inherits the kingdom of God in Resurrection.

The kingdom of God is present (Jesus said He would take the kingdom of God AWAY from the Jews and give it to another nation... apparently, they had the kingdom of God at that particular time.... but lost it...) and will be manifested in its fullness in the future.

Oh stop .. you just claimed he was given the key ... years before the death, burial and resurrection ... and the baptism of the Holy Ghost ....

as having knowledge of the steps to salvation ... or opening Heaven's door.

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

I have a feeling that Peter knew all about baptism in Jesus name prior to Pentecost (see John 2-4) BUT I also think he did not know tongues would be the universal external evidence of the Holy Ghost baptism until it happened.

Jesus had been preaching repentance and new birth before his death and Peter heard Him.

Agreed.

On a side note, I would suggest that "for behold, the kingdom" etc is actually a continuation of the hypothetical quote, belonging to "lo here, lo there".

In other words, I think Jesus was saying the time would come when people might incorrectly claim the kingdom of God had arrived (via the Messiah's presence) and was present in a particular city or locale. Thus, people might be saying "behold! Here (or there) the kingdom of God is within you" ie within your gates.

The punctuation in the AV is not inspired, and this alternative reading actually makes more sense. Otherwise, we have Jesus telling the hypocritical Pharisees that the kingdom of God was within them (not "among them" as some try to suggest.) Just my opinion, though.

I will. I don't mind putting my belief out for public ridicule. You have yet to offer your thoughts.

If you don't care to...then that's fine. I understand that it's far easier to be an opponent than a proponent.
