We went from men's facial hair to women with hot pink hair and men smoking. Wow! Slippery slope, indeed!

I noticed you edited this post and removed your argument was that gay men have facial hair. :toofunny :killinme

:dogpat

My boss is the leader of the gay community in my city, he owns most of the gay bars and is a very wealthly man. Sadly I have to be around gays at times and as such take time to observe them. The young gay men often have long but close trimmed sideburns and the men with beards are called "Bears."

So I am actually watching a UPC church have an all out on Facebook about about coloring hair and such. So I was lost in my thought and did not explain why I wrote that.

So my point is take a stand and enough debate. :throwrock

Note to self, after rereading his post he is probably 12 years old...ignore.

Easy, easy, come on I'm asking you to "clarify" what you were saying about the Bible. You know, the book we use chapter and verse to teach what we believe as Apostolic One God Jesus Name Filled With the Holy Ghost Tongue Talkers.
Take a stand and move on? Stand on what? Stand on Bible, book, chapter, and verse? Or stand on nothing, but emotion or tradition based on wind?

Please explain what you are trying to say about your comment concerning the Bible.

I am saying you can't see the forest for the trees.

Your post seems to admit that the prohibition against beards isn't a Biblical one, so where does it stop? There are preachers against watches, rings, colored shirts, short-sleeve shirts, tie tacks, etc.

None of these can be supported in scripture, yet some Pastors "take a stand" on it.

Again, you can't see the forest for the trees.

I can't see the forest for the trees?

Well, then that means you can see the forest for the trees. Therefore since you are a light unto men, a leader to show men the error of their ways, would you be so kind as to prove what you said about the Bible?

David, it's real simple...we are talking common sense, part of being a man. Men get of of bed in the morning and go to work, Men keep themselves up, they take baths, shave, get a haircut; etc.

We do not need the pews full of women with hot pink hair and men out front smoking. Then when you try to crack down you run into the the "IF'N HE'S FER IT, I'M AGIN IT, SHOW ME WHERE IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE" debate that splits the church 50/50....TRAP!

It's called "Get a Clue."

You also admonish everyone to "Get a Clue" that would also indicate that you are the one with the "clue" so, please proceed and clarify what you mean.

:thumbsup

It's like the minister who yells, "Don't question my authoritaaaaayyyyyy!" He has no answer, certainly no Biblical basis for his "clue" or "stand."

I thought I was clear on my position, a minister or any other operating on the platform should not be allowed facial hair, and that those who are on the platform should look professional. The men should be clean shaven, wearing a business suit and cut hair. Now, I will admit this may not have been clear as I assumed that you would understand where I was coming from since the topic is PAW.

Sir do you disagree? What is your position?

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

That is how I have believed (and still do for ministry) and being behind the pulpit. Yet, that isn't the question I asked you. I asked you what did you mean about the statement you made concerning the Bible?

To think I would understand this post due to this thread being about the PAW is interesting. Because no PAW I ever knew had pink hair, or men smoking out in front of their "temple." If I was to "crack down" you posted I would run into some unintelligible language stating that they would like to view something in the Bible. This, is what I was asking you. :)

Why did you post Jude 1:6?
