Tamor's Hubby In An Accident
I just received a call from Tina and she's on her way to the hospital to be with Tamor.
Tamor's husband was in an accident and is in x-ray right now and Tam is pretty shaken up and would appreciate our thoughts and prayers. Thanks Tina for calling and going to be with Tamor! God touch Jon! |

I sent Renda a text message as I was leaving the hospital, but I wasn't sure she had gotten it so I decided to come check.
Jon is going to be okay, he doesn't have any broken bones. He does have whiplash, and is banged up some. Both airbags deployed, which is probably what caused the injuries that he has (just my opinion based on what Tamor and the other people said about the impact) Tamor thinks his truck may be totalled. The important thing is that Jon is going to be okay... even if he may be sore and a little ornery and require a little more babying from Tamor for a few weeks or so. :D Thanks everyone for your prayers... I know Tamor and Jon appreciate them. Now I'm getting to bed and getting some sleep. I have to be back up in 4 hours to get my hubby off to work. |
Tamor, I couldn't sleep so here I am reading posts and just saw this terrible news...I will be praying for both of you. Keep us updated.

He is very blessed...
Tamor is going to strangle me when she logs on and sees this thread, because I didn't tell her I called Renda. :D I just couldn't stand the thoughts of her sitting there in that waiting room all by herself last night when I got her message so I had to go stay with her. I was just thinking it could have been worse than it was, and maybe they weren't telling her. I'm not real fond of the hospital where he was taken since they don't have the best reputation--but when I found out which doctor was checking him out I felt better about the whole thing. My daughter was able to witness to the daughter of the other person involved in the wreck when she had a breakdown in the hallway. My daughter took her into the chapel area and prayed with her. I think we just needed to be there for that reason. When they came back into the waiting area the lady was telling us how she'd been slack in attending church, and how she felt that God let this happen to wake her up. I'm not real sure if Tamor has internet access at home, and she may have taken off work today since they were out so late last night and I'm sure she wanted to make sure Jon was okay today. I'll call her a little later in the day to check on them-- I want to make sure and give them plenty of time to sleep in today because they had to drive over an hour to get home last night. I was probably home long before they were. |
Thank God for a positive report.
Continuing to pray for a complete healing and a speedy resolution to the insurance situation. God is in control! |
Tammy and Jon, be assured that our prayers continue for you. I'm so glad to hear that the news was good yesterday, but also know that even if there are no broken bones, etc., when those airbags go off, there is trauma to your body.
I am praying for a speedy healing and for patience for you, Tamor (LOL) |
Has anyone heard from our precious Tam...?!
My thoughts and prayers have been with she and her husband... |

She said that she had taken the day off work today and they'd gone to take care of insurance paperwork, etc. She said Jon made it pretty well today, but he's sore as expected. Thanks everyone for remembering them in your prayers. Jon is a great guy, but I think we really need to remember Tamor too because we all know how men get when they are not feeling well. She is going to need extra strength and patience to put up with him. :D (Boy I'm glad my hubby isn't reading over my shoulder.. LOL) |

Tammy & Jon,
Praying for an open door to witness through this accident. God has a purpose in everything. I am so glad Jon was not seriously injured. Blessings, Rhoni |
I hope Jon continues to do well.

Okay, I'm finally back online. And boy oh boy, I am exhausted!! Jon will be fine. He does have whiplash and he is moving very slowly. He has to go back to the doctor Monday and get checked again and see if they release him to go to work.
He was on his way home , driving about 55 mph and a lady pulled out of a driveway in front of him. Jon said he didn't know if she saw him and froze up or what, but that she was just stopped in the road, no lights on or anything. He couldn't stop. He hit his brakes as hard as he could but still hit her full force. The lady was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from her vehicle into the middle of the highway. He was meeting another car, who was able to swerve around her and into the ditchbank on the opposite side of the road, but had he not been able to get out of the way, he would have probably hit her car also, or possibly even run over her. We've only had this truck a few weeks and I'm pretty sure it's totaled, but as everyone knows, vehicles can be replaced, but people can't. I'm just glad he was in his truck and not riding his motorcycle. He drives it to work alot to save on gas. I text messaged Tina as I was driving to the hospital (real safe, huh?). Her church is not far from the hospital he was being transported to. My pastor is off playing in Hong Kong so I knew he wouldn't be able to come down there if I needed him. J/K!! J/K!! :tease Thank you Tina for calling Ren to post so folks would know and could start praying. And thanks to you guys once again for coming together in prayer for one of your AFF family. Jon finally fell asleep while we were waiting for the xray reports, so I came out and sat with Tina in the waiting room and we were laughing about some of the things that the other family were talking about. I looked at her and said, "Take notes. This will make great AFF conversation." It's amazing how we feel so close to people that we've never met. Love you guys! |
