JTullock's Mother passed away
Today I received word that my mothers health is failing. She has been in a bad way for a while but it seems she has taken a turn for the worse. She is 50 yrs young and has been sick most of the past 7 years. She has several illnesses, some of which would require a heart and lung transplant. She is not any donors list because the severity of the other thing she has could make it near impossible for any of the transplants to take sucessfully. Right now she is on a respirator because her co2 levels are very high. If they take her off she might aspirate and slip into a comma or going into breathing attack and pass on. She does not wants to live by machine or have a trach, which is the other option. She has been taking up to 27 pills per day for well over 5 years.
My mothers name is Debbie Tullock and she lives in Knoxville, Tn. While I am there I will not have access to AFF. Though I might have CC1 update some of you. I am leaving in the early morning to go there to be with her and the rest of my family. Please pray for us in the tought time of decision. We have to decside whether to obey her wishes or keep her alive. Please pray that God directs us to make the correct choice. I appreciate all of my AFF family even though I have not been apart of you all but almost a year you all are important to me, just ask my wife. LOL JTullock |
I hate to hear this JT. that's way to young to have to endure so much for so long. I guess women can take pain a lot more then men-I know i would have been dead and gone if it were me.
we will certainly be in prayer today for her AND for you ! |

JT, I will pray and have prayed. Please, be strong in the Lord in all this.

JTullock,
Praying for you and your family. This is indeed a difficult decision. You might take it from the standpoint of what your mother wants. This is the reason for Living Wills when you are in your right mind. As a geriatric social worker for over 5 years I saw the will of the parent overturned because the children were afraid to let the parent go. It needs to be about your mother and not about you. I will pray that God direct your path and give you wisdom at this time. In Jesus name, Rhoni |
JT, you will surely be in my daily prayers.
You, your mother and your family. |
I am praying too... Please keep us updated.
|
I would urge everybody who can to add Debbie Tullock to your churches prayer request list.
|
I'm praying for you, your mother and your family right now JTullock.
|
Dearest bro. In Christ yall have my prayers.

Pray for my Mother and Family

We humbly bring Debbie Tullock to You. We ask that if You would see fit, that You would touch her and raise her up, healing her for Your glory and praise. Lord God, nevertheless we submit to Your Will for You are God and always know what is best. We thank You and trust this situation into Your Hands, in Jesus Name! Falla39 |
Hello all. So far nothing has happened. There is a storng possibility that she will pass in the next few days. She will slip into respitory failure and they will medicate her to make her comfortable. Then she will pass. They can only have her intubated her twice already and after the third time they will have put at trache in. If that happens then she can only live in a fulltime center ala nursing home. Here in Tn NO nursing home will keep her no longer than 90 days. That make this even tougher.
The only close states to Tn that could take her is W.Va. or Kentucky. None of my family could move there and she is the type that will not take the trache anyway so there is only really one choice. I want to thank everyone for praying for me and my family and especially my mother. I will try and get on to let everyone know the out come or up dates. Thanks everyone! |

Have you had to go home yet or are you still with her? |

I am so sorry for your loss! You are in our prayers! |
I'm very sorry to hear of your mothers condition. We certainly will pray for her, and for you and the family. I use to know some Tullocks in the Athens Tennessee area, (just south of Knoxville).

I know Doug Tullock. He owns or owned what use to be called "Bargain Barn". I think its called United Grocery Outlet or something like that. It has been years since I've seen him. Was trying to remember his sons name, but... just can't recall. Good folks. Anyway, I'll still be praying for your mother and your family.

JT,
I just saw this thread. I am praying for you and your family, that the God of Peace and Comfort will embrace you and magnify his presence in this time of loss and sorrow. I desire that He will be as close to all of you as your mom is to Him at this time. |
I am very sorry to learn about your loss. May God be with you and provide comfort and peace...

I knew and worked for Doug and Michael when they first started Bargain Barn in Etowah. Was an Asst. Manager in one of their stores along time ago. And you are right... they are some of the finest people I have met. That was ober 20 years ago. I'm sure they don't remember me.

It was a pleasure to meet both JT and Raven tonight. I wish it could have been under different circumstances. Please continue to keep the Tullock family in your prayers as they approach the holiday season. |

I didn't see this until Monday evening, and I'm sure the services are over. But I am praying for you right now. Sometimes the hardest part is after everything is over. That's when things really sink in. This will be a wonderful Christmas for your mom but a VERY difficult one for you and your family. You will be in my prayers. |

Being around people does help tremendously, there will be times when you miss her so much--but at least you know she will be in heaven with Jesus and you will have a reunion with her some day! Praise God! |

My dad died in January of 1993. He was 58 years old. That was too young too. We had only had Justin with us for 6 months when we lost my dad. It was so sad to know that my son would never get the chance to know what a wonderful man his grandpa was. But then we adopted our second son 2 years later - and that boy is my dad re-created! Seriously! Cut from the same exact cloth. He likes the same foods my dad liked, likes to do the same things my dad liked to do, enjoyed the same kinds of activities my dad liked, has the same kind of personality my dad had and gets in the same kinds of trouble my dad used to get into. It's uncanny! |
Heaven has grown richer. God bless you JT and your family with peace and comfort.
|
Praying for you folks...

But your dad was young as well 58 is way to short a life imo. What is really funny about what you are saying is that my second son is a lot like his grandmother in many ways. When he does some things I think that's got to be the Sondra in him! I named him Colby Alexander and the name Sondra comes from Alexander or Alexandra- |

I want to thank both of you for coming to the memorial service. I was surprised at the turn out seeing as it was on a Monday. I spotted Matthew right out of the gate. Raven I did not see until the end. Thank you both for being with my friends and family at this tough time in our lives. We do need your prayers. My father is taking it very tough. He feels really bad by it. But God heals the wounds. Tomorrow she will be at her final resting place it the mountains. God Bless you both! |

From what you have said about your mom's health I know she is enjoying her new glorified body and no doubt is dancing around the throne of heaven. |
