They are my favorite too but I can't find a recipe. Years ago, I made one with cream cheese, ham sandwich meat (I think), and green onion. I can't remember anything else. Maybe someone has a good recipe. I've searched the internet and can't find anything like it.

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened (light or fat free can be used as well)
1 cup of chopped green onions 1 cup of chopped ham (thin deli ham works well) 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce 1. Using a mixer beat cream cheese and Worcestershire until smooth and blended. 2. Add chopped ham. 3. Add chopped green onion. 4. Beat all again with a mixer until smooth. 5. Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap or transfer mixture to a container with a lid. 6. Serve with crackers and pretzels. I found this one, but I don't know if it is the one you're looking for..... |
You've got me goin', I never made a cheese ball but these recipes look good and now I am thinking of doing one for Christmas Eve.

It is great! Try it. I will post a couple of good ones.
1 pkg. cream cheese (8-oz.) 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ozs.) 2 tsps. chopped pimento 2 tsps. chopped bell pepper 2 tsps. minced onion 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. lemon juice 1 Dash red pepper 1 Dash salt 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans 1. 1. Combine all ingredients except pecans. Mix well. 2. 2. Shape into a ball and roll in chopped pecans. |
Here is another one.
1 package sliced provolone cheese (8-ounce) 2 packages cream cheese (8-ounce) at room temperature 20 pistachios, shelled 2 cloves garlic 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves 1/2 cup pine nuts 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil ine a medium bowl with plastic wrap, leaving enough overhang to cover the top. Reserving 3 slices of the provolone, line the bottom and sides of the bowl with the remaining provolone, overlapping the slices. For the cream cheese layer, process the cream cheese, pistachios, and 1 of the garlic cloves in a food processor until blended; scrape the mixture into a bowl and set aside. For the pesto layer, process the basil, parsley, pine nuts, and the remaining garlic clove in the food processor until blended. Dissolve the salt and pepper in the olive oil and mix well. With the machine running, add the oil in a fine stream. Scrape this mixture into a second bowl and set aside. For the tomato layer, drain the tomatoes, reserving the oil. Puree the tomatoes with a small amount of the reserved oil in a food processor. Spread some of the cream cheese mixture over the cheese slices lining the bowl. Layer the pesto mixture, half of the remaining cream cheese mixture, the sun-dried tomato mixture, and then remaining cream cheese mixture in the bowl. Cover with the remaining provolone. Bring the edges of the plastic wrap together over the top and secure with a twist tie. Freeze until firm. Remove the plastic wrap and invert the mold onto a serving platter. Serve with party crackers. This will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. |
Thanks for the recipes. I may try more than one cheese ball.:D

My aunt makes the MrsBOOM cheeseball except she uses chipped dried beef instead of ham. It's MUCH better. And she does add the garlic.
She also makes a to-die-for cheese ball out of braunsweiger. I'll have to get that recipe for you. Mmmmm |

Easy Cheeseball... and good
2 pkgs cream cheese softened
4 tablespoons minced onion 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce chopped pecans With a fork mix together the cream cheese and onion. Add worcestershire and mix well. Add about 1/2 cup of chopped pecans and mix well. Roll into ball and roll in chopped pecans. You can add a dash or two of garlic powder if you'd like. I've made this for years and it's always a favorite. Very easy. I made one for the office today. |

This one if very good. |
My aunt finally sent me her recipes for cheeseballs that I promised to you. Keep in mind that our family has always called brausweiger "gooseliver". I know it's not really the real gooseliver. It's just what we called it. So when it calls for gooseliver, make that braunsweiger instead :)
3 pkgs of cream cheese {soften} chopped green onions 3 bags of chipped beef (choppped small) 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce mix all to gather place syran wrap in a bowl spoon in about half cover with the extra wrap chill overnight makes 2 cheeese balls for the gooseliver one just change the meat to a small tube of goose liver everything else is the same. |
