Please Pray for my sister....House is burning!

I just got a frantic call from my sister Donna Trapani. She is married to Anthony Trapani. He is a UPCI pastor near Columbus, Ohio.

His dad is Robert Trapani from Akron, OH.

They noticed smoke in the house just as they were starting service.

A few folks who live near them came to their house to have service.

Because of the snow.

They got out with 2 cell phones and 1 computer without the chargers.

They have lost everything including my sisters purse that had her money and credit cards etc.

Their dog had to be rescued by the firemen.

The dog kept thinking someone was left in their house.

SO please pray for them immediately!

If anyone who knows them wants to talk with them please PM me...

In the name of Jesus!

How terribly sad and at this time of the year.

I have tears rolling down my eyes...................Jesus comfort these people with this great loss and provide more than they already had.

They have lost everything. It appears that their dog may not make it.

Thank the Lord Jesus this did not happen a couple hours earlier.

They may have lost their lives.

For that I am thank-ful to the Lord.

Things can be replaced......

They'll be in my prayers as well. Did they have insurance?

Coonskinner 12-16-2007 01:32 PM

Anthony and your sister have had enough hard knocks to last ten lifetimes...some things are so difficult to understand.

Let them know Johnny Carroll is praying for them. He and I got acquainted at some of those old prayer and fasting meetings at Chester Wright's years ago.

ManOfWord 12-16-2007 03:04 PM

I know your Brother-in-law, Tony! I am so sad to hear that. I know this sounds really bad and smart "alecky" but it is not intended to be, God will give them beauty for ashes! That is the first thing I thought of when I read this. May the Lord grant them two-fold back what they lost in the fire!!! :D

Blubayou 12-16-2007 03:15 PM

Praying for them! I am so sorry to hear about their loss. Please let us know how they are doing.

Elizabeth 12-16-2007 03:48 PM

I am glad they are ok, but this is still a lot to go through! I will be praying for them.

Please keep us up to date with what is happening with them.

Cindy 12-16-2007 04:15 PM

Will be in prayer for the family.

Nathan,

I've let the Schaffner's (from Toledo and also VanWert) know about this. Their first question was whether someone is taking donations for them yet? Where can they give?

I'm praying for them also.

I just talked to my sister and thier Dog did survive barely!

A neighbor told my sister that all three of the kids were praying in her car for the dog to survive....

A person they have never met told the vet that she will be paying the bill for the dogs care.

The vet is keeping the dog for observation.

Anthony my brother in law also had to go to the hospital for shortness of breath.

He is out and at a hotel with my sister.

Thier 3 kids are staying with family.

They welcome your prayers.

They have lost almost everything they own....

Anyone who wants to talk with Donna or Anthony please PM me they told me I can give out thier hotel room phone number.

Thanks everyone for your prayers!

I want to thank the lord they all made it our alive....

I am reminded of Job who in the end of that book gained more than He lost.
God has a purpose even in our tragedies.

I believe when he see's our faith remain. He builds on these things that happen to us. Then we build our faith.

God is a great God....

I have to tell of a story that happened when we were working at a church in La. Our assistant pastor had not preached in ages (a story in itself) not that he didnt want to but the chance was not there... and he had this sermon he felt just burning in him (sorry no pun intended but these are exactly his words as he will tell them) he went to the pastor and told him he had a sermon that needed to be preached! The pastor allowed him to preach.

The sermon title simple but...... Holy ghost and Fire! Very anointed sermon... had 9 get the holy ghost and in the middle of the altar call we noticed there were some ... ummm.. extra people at the altar.. the fire chief was in talking to our pastor who then took the assistant back to tell him that his house had just burned to the ground...

That was the hardest time for him.. a lot of things he didnt understand.. but at that time he was in process of losing his business his home his cars and his used car lot... things werent good... God worked it all out somehow.. thru the pain... and the insurance paid and he was able to build a new house paid for in full... a 5 bay car shop in back and purchase a new vehicle for his wife and have a good bit left! God worked it out beyond anything they could ever imagine! No it is not what one would have to lose it all... but God is more and has more in store sometimes than what we could ever imagine!

Scott Hutchinson 12-16-2007 09:29 PM

We place alot of stock in material things in our society, but hey this life is fleeting, being prepared for our long home is what is important.

Nathan,

What a terrible thing to happen anytme but especially here at Christmas.

I trust and pray that they had homeowners insurance? If so at least that will replace the things that can be replaced.

In these situations the worst part is losing the photographs and other mementos that cannot be replaced.

CC1 thanks for praying for them. I know the Lord will bring them through with greater faith....

I personally spent time scanning all of my photo's and have them stored in several places.

So they can be retrieved.

Many fo their items are gone.....

God still is Great!

God Bless,

What a bad thing to overcome the loss of a brother. You are so right.

I thank God they are all ok.

Neck, I am sorry for your family. Elder Robert Trapani has meant a lot to me over the years. he spent a lot of time in DeRidder in the early 80's.

We are praying for your family.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I know elder Robert Trapani can also use prayer for his health.

Thanks so much.

Anthony and Donna are just dizzy right now trying to figure out what to do next.

Sister Alvear 12-17-2007 09:26 AM

We are praying here.

philjones 12-17-2007 12:24 PM

I just saw this, Nathan.

I am praying for the Trapani's!

I echo CS's comment about sufficiency of suffering on their part. God is still God and though we are often perplexed and worried He is not troubled in the least by this awful event!
