Pardon RevDWW for bragging

My eldest daughter, Ashley, just graduated from LSU @ Alexandria with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in English. She is Summa Cum Laude and received the Chancellor's Award for Academic Excellence for having the highest GPA in her graduating class (3.956).

Congrats, Brother!

I will be in your fair city on Christmas Eve and gone again on Christmas day.. One of these days, the Lord Willing, we will really have a conversation and enjoy lunch together.

Tell John Ball Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for me! :)

dizzyde 12-20-2007 12:51 PM

That is a remarkable achievement, and a very justifiable proud moment for any parent!!

I THINK he was referring to his age. From his av, I wouldn't have thought he was old enough to have a college grad for a daughter.

Congrats again

tamor 12-20-2007 01:00 PM

Brag on, Brother. That's worthy of bragging rights! :christmasjig

I agree. I wouldn't have guessed him old enough to have a college graduate kid either.

Bro.RevDWW,

Congratulations to you and your sweet wife, and your beautiful daughter

on this great accomplishment!! I believe in "giving honor where honor

is due". You have a right to be proud parents. There had to be a whole

lot of love, money, patience and hard work to accomplish this goal and

most likely it didn't come without sacrifice!! Good for you two and HER!!

Blessings,

It's not over yet. She will start Grad School next year and her younger sister (19) is in her fourth semester of college. Plus I have a son (15) in high school.

We had our children when we were young. I was 19 when we married and we had our first child when I was 21.

Just so folks know, my kids get their brains from my wife and most everything else that's worth anything. My lovely bride is a very intelligent woman....although she did have that one lapse in judgement when she accepted my marriage proposal...:heeheehee
