New post button not working
Every time I hit the new post button, I get a white screen with "no query" or some such, but if I go to the section I want to view, I can view the threads without a problem...any ideas?
|
I've been wondering about this also. Thanks for bringing it up Seguidor!

It was working half an hour ago.
BOOM what did you do? :D |
This thread has been reported, so all the admins that actually KNOW anything about fixing such a problem will be aware of it when they see it.
In the mean time, I'm gonna go hide so no one blames this problem on me. :D |
Don't look at me! :uhoh
I haven't touched anything today...yet. :jolly |

The only thing I've touched today is to put a new header on the Christmas skin. :christmoose |
I take that back...it must be Matt...his avatar isn't working either! :neener

New Post was not working for me earlier today and is still not working several hours later when I logged in. That is such a handy feature. When I log in I hit the "New Posts" and see what all threads have had a post in them since my last log in. Then I click on the ones I want to see and see which posts are unread since my last visit. Very handy, but, it's not working today.

Thank you Tina for your overwhelming support here.
<Rant mode on> 1- Boomm does happen to work a day job and Fridays are unusually busy. Added to that is the fact that my assistant is on vacation means today was buried worse than usual. It meant I answered about 60% of the phone calls - some others were even MORE busy as I was. Lastly, Monday IS a holiday for Boomm, so I did not want any loose ends. The forum takes a back seat to putting food on my table and gas in my tank. 2- I saw the error earlier and intended to solve it this evening. I did something Spiritual and listened to a great sermon. 3- I have had an ongoing battle with my Internet Provider. Seems to go down almost every night. I did not want to be in the middle of something and crash the entire board. Lastly in this rant- I pride myself that not only do we have about 99% uptime here save that ONE Morning. (again due to my Internet going belly up and the server waiting my command) I also am asked to do work for some of our fellow boards, and again I pride myself on what I think is a great job here. For sometime there has been a serious lag on my system. It either involves the Google Ads that the Guests still see, but are hidden for members. Or it involves the Verse of the Day. i will axe the ads, and will get the verse fixed, but it will take me a bit. :rant |
Hey BOOOM, sure didn't mean any offense...hope you enjoy the rest of your night. It's working now, btw. :)

Love the Verse of the Day. I mean that it is here, and I love that scripture.

If you are having trouble logging in, staying logged in or out, posting, or if you are getting an error message that you don't have permission to post in a forum or view a thread, please try this before opening a thread to ask for help (as this is what you will likely be told to try ) 1. Delete all cookies and cache INTERNET EXPLORER: Tools >> Internet Options >> Delete Cookies (yes) Tools >> Internet Options >> Delete Files >> Delete All Offline Content (yes) FIREFOX: Tools >> Options >> Privacy >> Cache (clear) Tools >> Options >> Privacy >> Cookies (clear) SAFARI: Safari >> Preferences >> Reset Safari 2. Close all instances of your browsers 3. Open up a new browser and log in from fresh * Your browser is designed to do this as it speeds up page loading times when you revisit websites. Files can get corrupted in that they don't get overridden with the new files, so the cache should be cleared to allow it to rebuild. Cookies get corrupt at times, and just need to be rebuilt. Please note one other thing. If this does not work, one other alternative is that your ISP (the service you use to connect to the internet) may be caching websites you visit on the server level in order to speed up web surfing. That can have the same effect as files on your hard drive. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done in those instances except waiting. AOL/Earthlink/WebTV users, you will find more problems with this than most. My apologies, but that is the nature of proxy web service. Consider moving to another service that is real Internet: If you have tried this and it didn't work, please post/PM for help. |
Well my issues are all resolved for now so I no complain! LOL
