Didn't see your thread started - or your answer to Apprehended. Looks like we keep 'assisting' each other!

Sherri 01-03-2008 09:28 AM

Oh yea?

Steadfast 01-03-2008 09:35 AM

This Bro. Parkey seems to have a very kind spirit. I've spent time praying for your Brother today, Sherri... Great man on a tough day.

Apprehended 01-03-2008 09:38 AM

Dan Rigdon must be of the PCI stripe. He needs a haircut. Long hair is not permitted among the PAJC group. :D

Yeah, I've not heard Scott cry since he was a little boy, until this week. He and Michelle took this really hard.

He was talking about how they were one, when you saw one you always saw the other. Instead he said, when you saw one, you always saw all the others.....I mean the other one. Anyway, it brought a little laugh to a very hard time.

We've tried to strengthen him through this... talked to him every day various times a day. He did, in fact, take it hard. He called me on the way to the house where she had just passed and was so upset.

Needless to say, I've wept with him and for him this week.

Is Dan Rigdon still in UPC?

I think so. He's not involved in anything UPC that I know as I never see him at any functions in Texas.

One thing is for sure... the man is a wordsmith.

I've always loved him and Sis. Rigdon!

Sherri, Scott is doing great in a hard situation.

rgcraig 01-03-2008 09:48 AM

He's Been Faithful - - my all time favorite song!

rgcraig 01-03-2008 09:48 AM

That's odd that they've left the casket open during the funeral.

Sherri 01-03-2008 09:48 AM

Dan is on the fringes of UPC, from what I would guess. He's a great speaker.

This is my favorite song - He's been Faithful!!

Really? In our part of the country they always leave them open if at all possible. Kind of an 'open' and the service / 'closed' at the gravesite.

He is smooth. No doubt about it.

He must be on the fringes of the UPC. You can always tell. The women start trimming their hair and the men start letting it grown :D

j/k.....

Nope, haven't seen that. Usually open before the service, closed during the service and reopened afterwards for the last viewing.

Where is C. Patton Williams from. He is related to the C.P. Williams from Tulsa who had the bible college years ago?

My wife has said that if I close her casket one minute before I have to that she's going to come back and haunt me for the rest of my life.

Lol.....I've told my kids to just keep mine closed. I really don't want people standing there saying "doesn't she look pretty" - they don't say it now, so PLEASE don't say it when I dead!!!

Steadfast 01-03-2008 09:57 AM

His Dad is Jesse Williams... Former Assistant General Superintendent of the UPCI.

Thank you.

I don't know him but I wonder if he is related to the C.P. Williams from Tulsa who had the Apostolic bible school that he and sister Williams operated for several years there in Tulsa?

OK...thanks.

I know Jesse Williams.

Son does not look anything like father.

"Memories with treasures to give" - - that's neat!

Sherri 01-03-2008 10:04 AM

I would not have known Pat Williams. I haven't seen him for about 25 years, and he had lots of hair then.

It appears you could find more hair on a bar of soap now! :jolly

I can't say much, though... I'm chasing the cue ball dream now.

Steadfast 01-03-2008 10:13 AM

Bernard is a statesman in so many ways. I preach for him from time to time and can honestly tell you... I don't know how people can not like him. He's 'all business' with a kind, sincere heart.

Theologically some might argue but the man is a true statesman. Kind of reminds me of Bro. Urshan in that particular aspect.

Apprehended 01-03-2008 10:16 AM

Is the current speaker Crawford's son or related somehow?

I'm not positive but I think it's like a nephew... Don't know much about him.

Mrs. LPW 01-03-2008 10:17 AM

Dan R is still UPC... I love to listen to him speak.

Who is the man speaking now..
After Bernard

I knew his parents before they went to Korea and afterwards.

What do you know! David has grown up and made a good preacher too.

Man! I need to circulate a little more.
