I'm Listening to John Edwards and Getting Sick

I'm listening to John Edwards speak. It is obvious that he is dividing America by trying to generate class warfare. I don't like that message. It's poor ol' you but don't worry, I'm going to be your champion and go after big corporations that are so mean and oppressing you po folk. What a fake!

Some people would sell their own mama down the river for the sake of political power. They will say anything and do anything for it. The lust is irresistable I suppose.

What do you think? Am I wrong in my estimation of this

Oh myyyy! :heeheehee

I don't know about a lounge lizard but watching him here I'm not sure he sees himself as being President.

I just wish someone would come out of nowhere and bring some authenticity and originality to the whole deal.

My sentiments too.

What do you think of Michael Bloomberg? There is a strong movement to draft him though he keeps denying that he will run. He's a Republican but from what I can learn of him, he is fairly liberal. But, he has more money than New York.

I need to get better acquainted with him ... lol ... before I can offer an opinion. In other words, I know basically nothing about him. I need to pay attention and learn what the man is about.

He for sure reminds me of some of the dopes that accept their Academy award.

get over yourself.

You may be good in the court room.

On my TV you make me want to turn the channel.

I've been hearing Edwards over and over on all the ads and I'm soooo tired of it. I can't believe how many people chose him in Iowa today...he and Hillary are tied.

John Edwards made his millions with the false claim that silicone implants were dangerous. All he did was steal millions of dollars from private investors - many of them retirees - and block people from using the implants for a few years until the FDA and the medical community as a whole came out and declared his claims were bogus.

And after such a public humiliation as the FDA ruling, he still has the unmitigated gall to tell people he "knows what's best for them."

With some of the things he talks about trying to get done, even if he did have a chance to make it, someone would ensure he didn't make it... by force.

Some of his ideas would take power away from many powerful people. As we all know, most powerful people LOVE power... they don't give it up easily.

Wow. A lot of personal attacks against Edwards. lol

Personally, I don't like him much...but I think he'd be better than any current Republican except maybe Huckabee.

LordChocolate 01-04-2008 06:39 AM

If Edwards were to go in office, you would see a huge flight of Corporate America to distant shores...even more so than in the Clinton years. There are just some politifcal attitudes that are not friendly to large corporations. This is unfortunate since they bring so much prosperity to middle America.

With travel and communications the way it is and the attractive tax breaks given to Corporations around the world, more and more large business are realizing that they do not have to put up with this sour attitude toward them. Who can blame them for thinking about moving elsewhere? Edwards would be a huge disaster to us. I am afraid that Obama would be just as bad. On foreign policy, he would be a total disaster with his appeasing disposition. Hillary is the only one who is at least half way moderate but even she is out on the fringes on most issues.
