...Churches I would like to visit....
...I like to visit churches on Sundays when I'm on vacation....A few years a go I was in Nashville and visitied Christ Church and was pleasantly surprised when during the service they babtized some people in 'The Name of Jesus'....other churches I would like to visit some day and hear these pastors preach:
Promiseland-Bro Kenneth Phillips, Austin, TX Valley Church-Bro Joe Parker, Caldwell, ID Covenant Church-Bro Mike Hayes, Carrolton, TX Mountaintop Faith Ministries-Bro House, Las Vegas, NV Pentecostals of Alexandria-Bro Anthony Mangun, Alexandria, LA ....I would also like to hear these preachers preach: TF Tenney Paul Price-as long as it's not political Kenneth Haney Paul Haygood I would love to visit Brooklyn Tabernacale and hear the choir...... Any input from those that have heard or visited these churches/preachers?.... |
I'll be visiting Valley Church coming up here real soon. I'll let ya know what I think.

Why would you like to hear Brother Price preach?
|
Visiting Brooklyn Tab in NY and hearing the choir sing is well worth a special trip! I've been there twice, and was blown away both times!
|
I would love to visit
V. Morton church Tim Copeland's in Buford GA Johnny Godair's church Bud Tingle's church Larry Booker's church Steve Pixler's church Crawford Coon's church |
...Back in the day Paul Price was a wonderful speaker....he could preach for an hour or two and leave you spell bound-that is unless he started preaching do's and don'ts to please his constituents in the Western District....
|
...I have visited Vaughn Morton's church in Fresno, CA a couple of times....1st time in 2005 the choir sang a song "Falling In Love With Jesus" that moved me to tears....spirit fell so sweet that Bro. Morton did not preach, just opened the alters....
....2nd time was in 2007 and it was a Missionary service...didn't hear Bro Wilson preach, some traveling missionary.... ...remember going to District 5 Youth Camp at Camp Fresno (Dinky Creek) close to Shaver Lake, CA and Bro. Morton preached....don't remember any of his sermons, I was around 12 years old...just remember him carrying Paula Wilson (Delano, CA)and dunking her in Dinkey Creek.... |

The only above that I can vouch for is A.Mangun (Pentecostals of Alexandria), T.F.Tenney, and Kenneth Haney....all are well worth the effort to find them and hear them. Profound really! |

What's wrong with elder Tingle's church? I know some preachers who have preached there and they only have good to say about him. |
I would love to hear Elder Epley, Coonskinner, MOW, Bro. Hutchinson, Bro. Phelps, and more from the forum.
Their posting has been inspirational at various times, and would love to hear them in person. As far as the big name preachers, the only one I can think of at present that I would sacrifice to hear is T. D. Jakes. |

The music is phenomenal. Worship is fantastic. And ok, somewhere after that it took a bellyflop. I dunno what happened, but dead in the water. I don't know how much of that is the fact that the new pastor is still explaining what his vision is for the church. It seemed to me he was making sure everyone understood where he's wanting to go. That's great, but didn't make for a good sermon IMO. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt and go back. The kids absolutely loved the children's program, I think it's very well done. I like all of the different ministries that are already set up, and that the pastor wants to establish more, using more and more of the qualified members and giving them an opportunity to minister. I love that he is setting up and pushing small groups, and that he's going to split the Sunday am service into two in order to re-establish some intimacy in a large church. Frankly, I don't like going places where no one knows if you're new or not. 3 people, total, out of the whole lot more than that (it's really a big church) greeted me and asked if I was a first time visitor. A few more shook hands, but didn't even ask. One bothered to get to know my name. I'm also looking at things from the prospective church member's position, not just someone going to visit and have a good church service. I don't like getting swallowed up in the big crowd. |

POA, what a church and pastor/pastors. Ladies prayer group??? Forget about it unless you have been there. Their ex-bass player was on of the best co-ordinators around, I'm sure Phillips is blessed to have him. TFT-Sat in a small group with him upstairs in my current church a couple of years ago....humbling experience. Did music for his conference here in NB last year, what a preacher! Haney---saved in his church, baptized and married by him, not enough room here to convey my aprreciative thoughts. PP, kind man, took & gave a lot of hits. Sang with choir in his church. That is all... CJ, if you come to Canada, you have to visit my church and Pastor...WOW! www.capitalcommunity.ca *I will also show you my In-N-Out Burger collection, LOL* I forgot, I played bass at Brooklyn Tab...what an organization. From when you first enter and leave, they have got it together. I was also there for a Tues. prayer meeting...amazing. Went for cheesecake with Pastors Cymbala...great couple, kind, and way too smart for me! One of their pastors is a former school principle and FIL of a friend of mine. I guess what I took away from all of these great men, is that they were great, but didn't act like it. Unlike a lot of em today, who are not, yet act it. |
...MM, how did a kid from the San Joaquin Delta get to New Brunswick Canada?....

I live about six miles from Covenant Church, used to go there, but too many people. You can't get in. If you do you have to sit in the hallway above the balcony. lololo 20,000 members now I think.
Is that Joe Parker Mike's BIL? Been to POA twice. Their Easter Pageant is ledgendary. TOTL. Potters House is gigantic and rockin'. |

Those are some awesome churches listed....
We used to attend POA on the Sundays we didnt have service at night so this was often and we loved it. Been to Promiseland a few times.. wasnt that thrilled but it was ok. Been to Brooklyn Tab once.. had forgotten about it but it was when I was pretty young.. it was overwhelming to a young kid but it was memorable... Well all I remember about it was the choir... but I guess thats what most there remember huh LOL Covenant church.... we attended there when I was like 4 or 5 and then my ex mother in law was the church secretary for one of their daughter works (that was at the time in Garland) not sure if it even exists any longer as the pastor passed away and the assistant quack took over... I visited covenant many times with her during that time... it was better than going to the alternative at the time (quack churchlol) But... like my church happy here and chose to just stay put... however when we are in the area of good churches we have no issue with visiting a good church! |

Gary is the one who came up with the Hellhouse concept for Halloween. He abused his body working so hard at Hellhouse that he died of a heart attack. That's the truth, I was there. The church is still going, It's called Restoration Church, Garland. |
