The absurdity of so many threads, discussions and 'experts' that it all pretty much leaves us with no option other than laughter at this point.

Laughter doeth good like a medicine and some of these folks need a lot of it.

What I find "really" funny about it is that it is making fun of using tv...using video! On YouTube no doubt! LOL

Yep...they say one thing and do another. I know a man who when able to preach will preach hard against, "the evils of television"...but when visiting with him he wanted to watch clips of the Chepell show over the internet! lol

This video really expresses the inconsistancy. lol

You have to admit though, it does get "The Message" out.

That was FUNNNNNY!! Who put it together? Are the pro advertising on TV or against...hard to tell. Very funny and well put together.

And "being a star on NATIONAL TV"....in other words it's not good enough to be a star at national conventions in front of a few thousand...no they love that sort of stardom but balk at national stardom on TV no less. :stirpot

it is interesting that this person felt the power of video was powerful enough to spend the time making this parody yet apparently not powerful enough to use as a tool for reaching the lost.

Yes, it does. But like ChristopherHall pointed out, they had to use YouTube video to "get the message out."

So why support restrictions on "getting the message out?"

Also, notice the parody's producers use of stereotypes. Can you imagine letting someone post a video parody of Apostolics with all of the "criminals" and others who have embarassed our movement featured?

I feel sick when I see some of the images featured above. Maybe it's just me, but that's not funny. It doesn't even make any sense. I'm disappointed that it was posted here.

Yep, they're using video to get the message out.

Since the resolution passed, it was by a majority vote. Division would constitute being divisive over the resolution.

It really isn't about having a national program. It's about advertising. A church may choose to place an advertisment on local television providing a short invitation, address, and service times. Sure, some may try to start a national program...but that isn't what this is entirely about.

There is only a couple of churches that could do a national program as far a production. But I don't think they would spend that kind of dough. They do have the equipment. CLC has 3 98 channel digital boards and some MEAN cameras. Of course we all know what BOTT produces. Yet, I don't think they will do national for quite a while!

The only thing that I was able to IMAGINE is that the producer of that clip has spent an inordinate amount of time WATCHING T.V..

It was make me smile funny, "Living on Tulsa Time" was crack me up funny, there is a difference. And yes, we should all laugh at ourselves, whatever "side" you are on.
