Chicago area AFF members

I do not know the date yet, but within a couple of weeks, I will be in the Chicago area for a couple of days. I would like to meet some AFF and GNC members if your schedules permit. I will post the date as soon as I have the info.

Yes they are!

I'm not far from Chicago. Just head about 4 hours north and I can meet you too! LOL!

LOL!

Sorry, won't be in but for a couple of days, not sure yet if I will even be in for a midweek service anywhere. I am going in on business and will have free time, but not necessarily at my choice of when. I will post more later, and hope Chicago Aff members will be thinking about this. Just won't have time to visit the cold land of cheese! :D

Sis. Jill will be with me most likely, she would like to see you again very much.

I wish there was a way I could make it, but with school starting again (4 days a week), it just won't be possible this time around.

I'll probably have to venture your way this summer.

I thought they moved 2000+ miles West- I am 2246 miles from Chicago. 8 more miles West and you need a boat.

:boat

If I was going that far west, I am afraid I would also have to go a little farther south. :D

Due South is Water too.

You have to travel South by East to stay dry.

I... I .... I think I am gonna go to Chicago myself! I just "heard" the news and we are posed to be gittin snow this week! I might as well go there and get it rather than stay in this crazy city where no one knows how to drive it in! I guarantee the schools and everything else will be closed if we get one stinkin drop!

Boom, I was born and raised in Chicago area. I remember when there was no Daley Plaza. I just love the intersection of Clark and Addison. :D

Go Cubs!

HeavenlyOne 01-13-2008 10:29 PM

A better question is, do you know how to get back on the LOOP once you get off???

Took me three hours the first time I tried it after they closed off all the streets!

His way as in Tennessee? We're only about 1-1/2 hours from him.

You have to post an announcement so a bunch of us can try to meet up. When do you think you'll be down this way?

Sometime this summer for sure. Not sure when though. There are things that might take place that will force me to possibly relocate, and I really don't want to do that right now. But I'll be taking a vacation, as it's my mom's 60th birthday, and I'm throwing her a surprise party.

Where are you thinking that you might relocate to?

Sis, I do not know if I will be in the area long enough. One thing is certain, if time allows, I will certainly do so. I served as a youth leader in that church, and though it isn't my home church, it is definitely a second home to me. I have many fond remembrances of my time there, and always enjoy preaching there and seeing my friends, which of course includes you and Bro. Santos and family.

Richmond is very close to my inlaws. They live in Hampton, VA and we go through Richmond to get to their house.

My mom was raised in Hampton just 6 blocks from the ocean all her childhood life. Oh, the stories she can tell! LOL!

My mom now lives about 45 minutes east of Charlottesville but attends church in Richmond. It's a long drive, but well worth it.

I just don't want to live with my mother, even temporarily. If I'm forced to, someone isn't going to be happy!

So if this happens, and it is temporary, would you go back to Wisconsin or stay down here somewhere?

Not sure what I'll do. The temporary part would have to do more with living with my mom. LOL!

My goal is to have my kids finish school in a place they are familiar with. That would be either here or there. After that, I'm definitely moving from here (if I were to stay until then) but not exactly sure where to go. My nursing career is important, and I want to go where the money is.....LOL!

I bet there would be money in nursing at Richmond.
