Flat Top Haircuts.

Do men look good in flat-top haircuts, should this style come back in vogue ?
I would like to have one,but alas I cannot.
When I was younger and had hair I would have never thought of having a flat-top haircut,I used to try to wear it long, but my dad won't let me have shoulder length hair.

Isn't a flat-top haircut a manly style?

Felicity 01-21-2008 07:46 PM

What do you mean by "flat top"?

My husband is combing his hair without a side part now. It's cut real short and combed straight down. I really like it!

Um yea... would you expect to see it on a woman? LOL

My husband wears one all of the time. One he is military to the bone... 2 he works outside in 100+ degree weather most of the time and its cool. He looks very good with his hair like that and his is so thick I dont think he will ever have a chance of not havin enough to cut his hair like that. We have another couple of guys in our church who have major military backgrounds who still wear their hair like that. I guess once your so used to it its hard to change

I will say I have seen some men it just looks plain silly on tho!

A GI or a crew-cut haircut if you will ?

I wear a military style hair cut. it's easy for me to maintain and cut myself

They look great on most men. My husband and 2 of my sons wear them and some of my grandsons.

I wear a Faux-hawk lately...seriously! lol

Scott Hutchinson 01-21-2008 07:55 PM

My dad let me have a full-set of hair living at home I didn't have to get a buzz-cut but he won't never let me have shoulder length hair like I wanted as my idols in the hard-rock bands were wearing.

This was such a popular style in the sixties, our local barber shop was named "Bob's Flat Top Shop"!

Doesn't that style need to come back ? it's way better looking than a mullet.

I like a spike better than the flat top... you might look good in a spike Bro. Scott...

Howie what's his name? - the sports announcer - he looks good in a flattop haircut.

For some men the time comes when the only option is a "dome" on top. Do not covet, Brother Scott.

I do not like a flat-top haircut on my husband. Some men can get away with it but not my hubby.

BrotherEastman 01-23-2008 09:19 AM

I like to get a flat top every summer. if my hair isn't in a flat top, then it is usually fall, winter, or early spring.
