I am a happy man!
 

As some of you may recall next week I leave on my vacation......er...."missions trip" to Hawaii and then the 5 night cruise back to Los Angeles on beautiful Pride of Hawaii NCL ship.

This trip was not in our budget but about six months ago I stumbled across an unbelievable deal on this cruise as they are repositioning this ship from Hawaii.

Because no trip was in our budget this year I got the least expensive cabin available which is of course an inside one. I have been very aprehensive about it because we have always had a balcony cabin and enjoyed them immensley.

I knew that there was a possibility the "upgrade fairy" might call from NCL but I have never had a call before and we don't have budgeted the five or six hundred dollars it would take to upgrade anyway.

A few weeks ago our tickets and luggage tags arrived preprinted with our cabin number on them, etc so I knew that all chances of a miracle upgrade was probably over.

However tonight my phone rang and a nice lady said she was from NCL and asked if I was interested in upgrading from my inside cabin to a balcony one. I hesitantly asked her how much and she said $105.00!!! I said "per person or for both?" and she said "total for both of you". I almost shockamooed right there in the mall. I said a resounding "YES". She said just a minute then came back and said it is actually $104.48 total. I had told her "so you are the infamous upgrade fairy I have always heard about but never heard from before!". She laughed and said yes. I told her she made my 2008 start off right and I think she was glad she had called a grateful person.

Then I was afraid it might be at the front or back of the ship and we like midship because it is smoother and also a higher deck but she got us midship and on deck nine!!!!!!!!!!!

This is also a reminder that from next Wednesday afternoon (1/30) until February 11th you guys are on your on.

Don't split any more organizations and start new ones and don't run off Thad. If NLYP makes it back after I leave for vacation try not to ban him again before I get back.

If Thad finds a wife call me!!!!!

My other good news today that has made me a happy man is that we just found out today that my company has kept for another year the customer that is the only account I have!!!!!

Seriously, CC1 generally drowns (or nearly) on vacation. Seeing this is a cruise and his track record with water, don't count on any stories.

LOL!! If that is the Island of Santorini Greece like it looks like I actually cruised there on a small ship back in 1976 when I was 17 years old. I have been right in that cove where that ship sank.

LOL!!! If you see a news report of the Pride of Hawaii cruise ship listing to the right it will not be because it is sinking. My cabin is starboard and I will have probably just got back from the buffet for a nap.

Eddie and I are going to Maui the first week of September to celebrate our 30 year anniversary!! It's actually July 1st, but we are supposed to be in Kenya then. However the way it's looking in Kenya, we might ought to have planned on Hawaii in July!!! I can't wait; we LOVE Maui!

Hope you and Mrs. CC1 have a fantastic and romantic trip! Don't miss out on the chocolate buffet night. We were so full that we couldn't even enjoy it, but it was fun to look at!

Yes, I am very jealous, I have yet to get to Hawaii. My dream vacation. :)

I love Hawaii, but honestly I'd just as soon go to the Caribbean and it's much cheaper and easier and faster to get to from here. But Eddie loves Hawaii and we own a condo week there, so it's easier to trade into.
