Some Advice concerning Starbucks.....

If you are picking your son up from Youth Night at Church at around 10:30 and you stop by Starbucks for a Grande Coffee.....and they tell you they're out....but offer you a free drink instead....make sure if you order a
Sugar Free Cinnamon Dulce Latte....remember before you drink it...there is expresso in there so you won't remember it at 1:21 AM....:)

MrsBOOMM 01-26-2008 12:26 AM

We had the White Chocolate Mocha w/ Carmel Skinny, tonight but we had it about 5 hrs ago now, so we should be okay when we finally get enough sense to go to bed. lol

MrsBOOMM 01-26-2008 12:27 AM

Had to come back to give you a thank-you......hahaha

In the interest of getting a drink without all the sugar/fat I have been ordering double, triple, or quad shots in an Americano, then add just a touch of half and half.

True Believer 01-26-2008 07:14 AM

Wow, for a person who has to watch her carbs this is a great website. Thanks so much for posting it. On of the drinks was about 67 carbs! 1 drink! That is over 1/3 of my carb count for the day!

I've heard they are going to start selling coffee for $1 and free refills to boost their sales.

Ronzo 01-26-2008 07:27 AM

I'll believe it when I see it, but their refills right now are only like 50 cents.

Fonix 01-26-2008 08:01 AM

YUK on starbucks. There coffee is bitter. I like strong coffee but not bitter. Dont waste your money buying the new " Black Silk" folgers has either. ts bitter and bad.

A brewed Tall (10 oz) coffee is only $1.45 now. I understand McDonalds is getting in the barista business.

The Venti Skinny Latte was $3.50. I don't do them everyday. I checked and a regular Latte with regular cream is a whopping 290 calories! I still like the overstuffed chairs and fireplace and mellow music at SB.

Well, if you have one refill that will save you .95 cents!

Mellow music? They shoot you full of caffeine and play you a lullaby?

It is bitter. I think Folgers "Columbian" is the best. I just found out that all 6 of my sisters prefer it. lol

For bitter coffee a dash of paprika or salt before you brew it takes the bitterness out.

revrandy 01-26-2008 10:54 AM

I felt the same about their bitter coffee but grew accustomed to it....

I enjoy it now....

Does it work on people?:ohplease

I know some who could use it.

1992 01-26-2008 10:56 AM

I heard that you can already order a "short" drink at Starbucks for $1. It's not on their menu, but if you ask for a "short" mocha, latte, etc, it is only $1. Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it sounds like a good deal.

Tim Hortons is a little piece of Heaven!!!

Starbucks is good if you get a quart low on Oil.

Major Car manufacturers assure us it will noit harm the crank case despites it's harsh chemicals!
