I don't think they are making dresses for men yet, but as sick as this world is I don't think it will be long before they do.

I'd have to say that if there were dresses made for men, a man wouldn't be cross dressing if he wore one.

However, if he wears a dress made for women with the intent of making himself look like a woman, you might have a point.

Just as if a woman wears pants made for women, I don't see how we can say she's crossdressing.
However, if she wears a man's apparel with the purpose of looking like a man, she's crossdressing.

The school where I went would not allow girls to wear pants and it sure wasn't pentecostal.

I would agree that traditionally it wasn't acceptable, but do we really have scripture to back the "no pants for women" issue?

Rev, what one is called depends on if they're purposefully trying to appear as the opposite sex. Men who are cross-dressers will also wear a wig and carry a purse. Women who are cross-dressers will wear a mustach, comb their hair like a man's or wear a wig, and wear men's shoes.

As to your question about what a woman is called that wears pants - She's call a woman!

Is it written in the bible that women must wear dresses?

Were dresses invented by the twelve apostles, or were dresses a product of culture? If they were a product of culture, what if that culture changes? Is culture ever allowed to change?

Seriously, the pants issue to me has more to do with a woman being modest than looking like a man. Of course there are lesbians trying to portray themselves as a man. The problem with this line of argument is that we have women in Pentecostal churches that will wear a skin-tight skirt/dress and justify that she is holy because she isn't wearing pants. The issue is sensuality and exposing the body in an inappropriate manner IMO.

Actually we were on an elevator in Los Angeles a few months ago, and a guy got on with us who was very pierced and tattooed and he had on a black skirt with boots. It was actually a cute skirt, if you were a girl!

Without going into what this scripure means, this scripture was written over 2,000 years before a women's dress was invented! Back then they wore robes. (both male and female!)

Baseball caps were originally invented for male baseball players. Is it now a sin for girls to wear caps?
