Tornado Pictures

5 Attachment(s)
I'm going to try to attach these pictures from Sharon Baptist Church and School in Savannah, TN. Savannah is the town where my folks and Eddie's mom & stepdad go to church (Love & Truth Savannah).

If someone knows how to enlarge these and put them on here, feel free!

And tamor. Hey Sherri, who is the family at LTJ whose house was destroyed?

I saw these pictures earlier today but couldn't figure out how to get them on here. The ones with the car on top of the rubble tripped me out.

That Organ and Leslie looks in good shape still.

I would try to protect it.

Yeah, I thought of him when I posted these.

Renda, aren't you proud of me for getting these on here all by myself (even though Jeanie had to enlarge them)???

Spencer family; they're relatively new.

Would Paul and Tiff know them? What about Fred and Vickie's place? She said that they have just moved over close to Union. Are they okay?

Sherri if you could do that, you could do what I did.

If you go into the "edit" part of your post you can see what I did--

It's not a B-3 so he probably wouldn't be too shook up.

No, not VY. A couple from the Jackson church named Fred and Vickie. I think they've just recently moved over close to the church and where alot of the damage is.

We couldn't get a hold of F & V last night, but he called this morning and they are fine. They saw the tornado hit Union University though; they were watching it.

I doubt that Paul & Tiff would know the Spencers. It's just Hannah (20's) and her mom that come.

Ok, Jeanie, I just looked at the edit part, and it's like a long line of Greek to me. LOL!

OMG. I bet they were freaking out when they saw the tornado hit.

Are you listening to your radio? Star 107.7 is airing a live press conference that's going in Jackson right now.

No, no radio in here in the office. I did hear that they were going to have a press conference though.

President Bush may be coming to Jackson at the end of the week. At least that's what was told at the press conference!

Re: Tornado Pictures

Yes, I just heard on CNN that George Bush will visit on Friday "the areas hit by the tornadoes"...Surely that will include Jackson since it is one of the hardest hit.

After typing this I did hear that he was planning a trip to Jackson in particular.

I'm so glad that you and your family are safe.

My prayers are going out to all of you that were in the tornados.
NLP posted a few pictures of the UPC in Jackson .....so sad!

Did the Casey Jones Resturant survive the storm? My parents always enjoyed stopping there to eat and shop.

So much for living in a small town.

Glad it wasn't worse than it was.

Casey Jones is alive and well. There is so much grease there from the fried cornbread that a tornado would just slide right on over.:toofunny

Yes, thanks, we're fine. We had awesome church tonight; such victory in the air, tongues & interpretation, prophecies, etc. etc. The people are excited that the enemy is defeated!!

Eddie & I had baseball size hail at our house, so we're not sure about the roof yet, but at least nothing came inside! We were blessed.

Wow! I remember when we had marble size hail raining down. I was jumping up and down and screaming - MY CAR, MY CAR!!!

My husband said, "You can forget it. I'm not getting pummeled to save your car!"

When my son is at home, his car sits outside because we only have a 2 car garage. I'm so glad that he was at college during this and that both of our cars were protected. So much to be thankful for tonight.

One lady at our church had her old Lincoln damaged by hail during a tornado a few years ago. She couldn't afford to get it fixed, so she drove it like that for a long time. We called her car "Dimples". It became kind of a church pet!

Sherri 02-06-2008 09:34 PM

Re: Tornado Pictures

There is a hole in the hot tub cover where a piece of hail went through it and it is about 3-4 inches across. It was SCARY!

Re: Tornado Pictures

I had to drive five miles through a hailstorm once. Finally got to a town and a gas station. Soon as I got there it stopped. Glad y'all are okay.

We have a popup camper and the hail beat it to death. It was very loud.

Was there any damage in the Adamsville area?
My grandmother was from Adamsville and still has a lot of family living there.

Nothing bad in Adamsville; Savannah/Serro Gordo got hit really hard. So did Eastview.

No, but they were all around us. We were blessed this time!

Who is your grandmother and family? I may know some of them. Have I asked you this before?
