Do They Still Serve God?

I was sitting here thinking about Lineages & Connections & I thought of Spiritual Lineages.

I have a question, did the person who won you to God still Serve God?

Alas, the fellow who won me doesn't.

I still do though.

Does yours?

the person who won me to the Lord is no longer living, Ron. But yes, they died still loving and serving Him.

That was because I posted this in wrong area & I guess a little sprinkling of pixie dust, a wave of Tinkerbelles Wand & Voila!

Glad to hear the person who won you stayed faithful!

The person that won me to God is not living any longer. But I know he is in heaven.

Ironically, the girl that introduced me to truth wasn't even in church. The pastor's wife worked in the accounting department at her mother's store.

The pastor and his wife were giving her oldest sister a Bible study in the living room of my friend's home and I kept walking in and listening. I ended up staying in church and we parted company.

She died of a cocaine overdose about 10 years ago.

Same here, my great aunt started bringing me as a child. She still is a icon of holiness to this day at the wise age of 76. From the second she wakes to the second she goes to sleep she praises God. Unless she is talking to you, then no matter what she is doing she will be talking, humming or singing to Jesus. Occasionally you will just barely hear her speak in tongues as the spirit moves. I love going to her home. Sometimes the presence of the Spirit there is as strong as in church.

I love you aunt Genieva

That is so sad.

I'm a second generation, but the man who won my parents is backslidden at the moment. He's being prayed for though.

I love the story that my grandma tells about her best friend telling her about a tent revival in town. She and her friend were raised Baptist and they decided to check it out one night.

My grandma went to the alter, but didn't get the HG. She went home and was praying in her room and she was filled with the HG in the middle of the night. She was 20 years old.

Today she is 92 years old. She now has children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren preaching the Apostolic message.

Her friend never got in the church.

The person who got us in was backslidden at the time. We came in the church, she never did. Recently had a stroke, (possibly caused by drugs) and is only limited in her movements.

When I first received the holy ghost yes.. that person is still living and still serving the Lord!

I left the church for quiet a while and when I came back it was at the urging of Bro Dominic Benincasa and his friend Bro Frank Harris... They beat me over the head until I did and yep... they are both still serving the Lord and winning more souls daily... I thank God for them all!!!
