I just read the thread about the owners and admin changing of the guards. There are some that I miss already, but change is part of life. This looks like a great group, and I for one, am excited.

Renda is in a meeting at work and will be back in about an hour... I'm gone till about 2pm because today is the young at heart luncheon at church, and as director of that dept, I can't be MIA. The Mrs is out of pocket for a bit as well... Questions aren't being ignored.. someone will be around later to catch up.

For the record, today will my last day on AFF as well. I have really enjoyed the experience, and wish to thank all who have made this possible.

I had greatly reduced my time on AFF over the past two months, and this is the next logical step in that progression.

I am not angry or upset with anyone. I just feel it's time to say a permanent adios.

So with that said, happy trails!

I'm sorry you feel you have to leave PP. You have made many friends here that will miss you, as well as a forum full of folks who have enjoyed your many threads you've started. You have been an outstanding contributor to this forum. You regularly bring meat to us, and I'm sure you've helped many to stay grounded and plugged in. I have always appreciated you! :thumbsup

I hope folks will keep in mind that this forum was kept together because of a mutual love for each other. :heart

Brothers and sisters that didn't want to lose touch with each other. A Fellowship where new friends are made and old friends enjoy being together.

A place where thoughts are expressed, opinions are argued, doctrines are debated. Some of the greatest friends made here have come from the most hard fought debates.

Many times we grow weary with the constant battle...whatever your viewpoint, you will always weary of the opponent's attack. Whether Con OR Lib. If you find yourself in that place, the best thing to do is to just take a break.

Many have outgrown this place and have felt to move on. We wish them well in their journeys. :waving

And for those who have just now found us...WELCOME! We hope you will feel comfortable and right at home here! :welcome

The success of a forum like this requires everyone to be somewhat transparent. The facade of "I'm too Holy", "I'm untouchable", "I'm perfect" or "I have unquestionable biblical authority" doesn't fly here!

Maybe some have a problem with reading conflicting opinions, or (gasp!) someone questioning a preacher's actions and motives. Of course, it's OK to question a preacher's actions and motives that believes differently than them.

I will miss some of the posters who have chosen to leave, but others.........don't let the door hit you.........:)

Some will be better off in a place where everyone agrees with them. It's boring, but safe! :)

The most fearful thing most people face is change. It is the thing which give us that creepy crawly feeling in our stomach and causes us to feel dizzy at times. However, most change is good and as long as the direction is forward toward a worthy goal....life is good!

I don't think anyone will see drastic changes. Many people make decisions based upon who is in "charge" of something. I have worked with all of the current owners and I can tell you that you that this is a fair, fun loving, sincere group of people with no agenda (except me, of course :D) who will do their best to see that all of you continue to have a place of fellowship around commonly shared values, see that the "fighting" is fair and that things don't get too far out of hand!

Other than that, continue to have a good time!!!!

Are Steadfast, rrford, and some of the other "conservatives" no longer members here? I sincerely hope we don't lose their imput. I'm not a preacher, so I can't join their preacher forums!

Yes, they are still members here and I would expect Steadfast to post some or at least as much as his schedule will allow. rrford I miss - - he drops in from time to time.

I agree with CC1 that what makes this forum so good is the diversity!
