I am blessed!!
 
I am blessed!!

Despite how I feel in body and every situation that surrounds me, I am blessed!!

I am blessed, not because of Apostolic heritage or who my parents are...and the fact that I am cute and sweet has absolutely nothing to do with my blessing.;)

I am blessed because of who He is and what He did for me on the Cross. He who was without sin or shame took mine upon Him so that I could live free from the bondage of sin, death, hell, and the grave.

I am blessed because I recognize His love for me and choose to be blessed.

I am blessed in spite of the doubters who said that I was a hopeless case and would NEVER come to the Lord.

I am blessed in spite of the gainsayers who spoke against me AFTER I came to the Lord and failed...they wondered aloud if I could run again.

Well, I am STILL here!!

Not because I am all that and a bag of chips, but because of grace and mercy. They run after me 24/7, extending again and again that which I know more than y'all just how underserving I am.

I am blessed!!

And this blessing that has so richly been given to me, I extend to others...born to be a blessing is what I am, and can do no less. :)

2 Chronicles 20:20 is where we get these immortal words: Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. Jehosaphat, faced with opposing armies, told Judah to sing. He sent the singers before the armies as instructed by the Lord. And, they sang. Remember Paul and Silas singing at midnight in prison? What do we do when trouble comes? We sing. On Feburary 6 I found myself singing the very song mentioned on this thread, "I am blessed, I am Blessed, Everyday that I live I am blessed..."

As God's people sang, the enemy did something very curious. They turned on each other. The enemy slaughtered each other and when Judah arrived on the battlefield, all that was left for them to do was to pick up the spoils. And, while doing so, they blessed the Name of the Lord. That valley was from then thereafter called the Valley of Berachah. The Valley of Blessing. I'm living in the Valley of Blessing. I am blessed... and blessed be the Name of the Lord.

I am SO glad to know that regardless of how this old body is presently feeling, I am blessed!!

Thank God for the Word which reminds me that I don't walk by feelings or what I see, but by faith..."by His stripes I am healed!!

Ain't God Good to give us so many Blessings underserving that's what we are.
We ought to Thank Him, Love and Praise Him a little more today and a whole lot more tomorrow.

My husband just had one of the hardest surgeries that a person can have.
My three year old grandson tested positive for the flu yesterday.
My car battery is DEAD. I was late coming in to work today because I had to unexpectedly drive my husband's truck and stop to get gas.
A power surge from a current thunderstorm just knocked out our power at work and I lost 4 hours of data that I have been compiling on a spreadsheet.
I am mentally and physically exhausted.

BUT I AM BLESSED......

I have a godly husband who is alive and healthy enough to have sustained the surgery.
I have a beautiful, healthy three year old grandson and a granddaughter on the way.
I have a nice car, truck, motorcycle, and my kids have decent vehicles to drive.
I have a decent paying job to be at where I am inputting data on the computer.
I live in a nice home with comfortable beds that I can go home and crash on when I leave work.

YES, I AM BLESSED!!

Thank you!! Yesterday was just one thing after another and I wanted to get down in the dumps, but I thought about this thread and I was like, "No, I'm not going there. I am blessed!" Now if I can just catch up on my sleep, I will really be blessed!! :bliss

CC1, someone reminded me today that in every situation there is a high road and a low road...the road I take is my choice.

I know it's hard to believe, but not everyone is going to like me.

Not everyone is going to agree with me.

Not everyone wants me to succeed.

Not everyone wants me to be a giver...except maybe to them.

Not everyone wants to hear my opinion.

Not every situation is going to work in my favor.

But in spite of it all, I am blessed!!

I am blessed with a reasonable portion of a right spiritual mind, and tonight I am blessed with the knowledge that I will never go wrong when I take the high road.
